Cut because they didn't know what to do with the kid with both parents running around trying to solve the murders. They said it felt weird having Gale come up to crime scenes with a kid.

Originally, when Kevin wasn't banking on Neve coming back, he wrote a script with just Gale and Dewey, and they had a 9 year old kid. When Neve agreed to come back, Kevin scrapped that idea and rewrote everything.

I like the idea of Kirby living in Stu's house. I mean, it's been 15 years since Scream 1, SOMEONE has to be living in that house LOL. Who better than Kirbs? She even compared it in her sides to the Amittyville house LOL.

So it actually only made 36 million in actuals worldwide? Yikes. I hope it at least makes 120 million that'd be profitable for this film right?

It's pretty basic, just running around slashing teens. Controls are pretty lousy. But the simple joy of playing as Ghostface justified the measly 99 cents!

I wonder if they made an actual xbox game like that.. would you be able to kill the trio. Sidney would make a hell of a boss fight.

I think it should end with Scream 4. There's just a finality to it that works fine, IMO.

I'd like to see a couple of more movies personally, but if 4 is the last then I'm satisfied. It's a pretty good series finale.

I'm satisfied if this is it, but being a fan I will say that I'd probably end up watching another one if it happened, unless something major like no one coming back happened.

^^ I'd end up seeing Scream 5 & 6 without a odubt, tbh. I want a 5th film, but if we don't get one, then Scream 4 may just be it. Scream 4 does have a sort of heart warming ending...in a sadistic sort of way, lol.

I wouldn’t mind a 5th installment, but the script would need to be good and I would like it to focus on Dewey, Gale, and Sidney more than Scream 4 does. I think that’s one of the reasons I like the ending; it brings the original cast together in a way that isn’t really present throughout the rest of the movie.

I thought Scream 4 focused on Sidney alot. Way more than Scream 3 did. I went in expecting a Jill centric movie and got a Sidney centric movie. The only thing is Dewey and Gale's roles were etched back from what they were in Scream 2 and 3.

It does. It focuses a lot more on Sidney than I thought it would too. I guess what I'm trying to say is I would like to see more of the original cast in the thick of things together, but it's understandable that they're not given the circumstances of the story in Scream 4.

I would be more than satisfied if this was the last one. It had, imo, a definitive ending.

So did Scream 3 however and here we are with the best installment IMO since the original. So if they could capture that magic again in 5 I won't turn it down, but I doubt they could.

My greatest fear about a 5 is they'd push it too far. Horror series that make it past part 4 almost always immediately suck.

If they didn't already suck before that of course.

come on this is hollywood, were not stopping till we get to scream 10. pretty soon they'll have to start brining out distant cousins twice removed of billy and stu to try and kill sydney.

Eh. I feel like they'll stop at some point. I don't see this as a Halloween type situation, for the sheer fact Ghostface is a different person each time.
