Sounds like they'll keep playing with this until if and when Scream 5 happens and the screenwriter (or Hayden's agent) can come to a creative (or financial) agreement.

I like the longer chase in the final film's alternate opening. As well as the garage. But I like how much scarier/creepier Ghostface's brutal murder of the Prom Girl is on the couch in the alternate ending while her best friend just roll her eyes thinking it's fake. Perhaps in the reshoot, they should have left that part as is and did the garage chase with the girl by the refrigerator. I guess they just wanted another phone call chat though. I did like Ghostface mocking her for being "the blonde with big ****" who dies in the first scene and she fires back, "I have a 180 IQ, *******," but the way she goes and GF is introduced in the alternate ending is better, in my opinion.

Lets say she didnt die, why wasnt she mentioned at the hospital? I would of thought dewey would have mentioned it to jill seeing at the time he thought they were best friends.

That's what bugs me. They could have just added a line indicating Kirby "might" still make it. That's all it could have been and it would have been 100% acceptable to believe that she DID survive if she's in the next film.

They might try to explain it by having her go into hiding. That idea was considered for Randy. Although it's doesn't make a lot of sense.

They did explain Laurie. She faked her death and changed her name so Michael wouldn't come looking for her.

So...they actually shot an opening that felt like a ****ing horror movie instead of some silly bs lifted out of an SNL or Mad tv skit...and they don't use it...nice.

The reasons to hate this movie grow more each time I find something new about it.

Getting this today at Walmart, 19.99 , not bad for a new release blu ray. Hopefully this will be a big hit on dvd/blu
