Damn, I paid $35.99 plus tax at Best Buy for the Blu-ray set  Oh well, I'm still glad to have it and feel like I got my money's worth.

It is pretty cool to see Scream displays in stores again.

I bought my blu ray copy of Scream 4 and ordered the boxset of the first 3 today. It's such a fun horror film

Mine are

The Crime Scene with Dewey and the 2 opening girls and the Hospital Scene with Jill and Trevor. Although I still would have loved to have seen Dewey's Test and Kirby and the Boys snuck in the final film.

I still do not like the ending to this movie. I think it would have been better if Sidney died and Jill got away with it

It would of of set up a 5th movie better if it ended that way IMO.

Plus it just would have been a shocking ending. Just like how the beginning of Scream 1 was shocking. They would have came back and put Scream back on the map with a shocking ending.

I honestly am not a huge fan of the idea of following a killer as the heroine. You'd have trouble connecting with the people around her, because herself wouldn't give a **** about them and would be a weasel who would throw them in front of a killer instead of try to save them like Sidney would. It just doesn't make for a good horror film when you hate the heroine.

Yeah...

But, they cool thing about 5 being about a Jill "that got away with it...";

Would have been seeing a new killer pop up trying to uncover the truth and trying to take out Jill because she was a false survivor. Plus, maybe Jill would have re-donned the costume to combat the mysterious new GF.

2 best reasons for this;

- It'd be a murder mystery again but with a spin

- GF vs GF would be an epic ending for the series...

Scream 5:

How about Sydney has gotten plastic surgery and in the beginning of the movie some random housewife gets killed. Then through the entire movie you think Sydney is the victim again.

Until the end of the movie where you see Sydney reach at her face and pulls on it,where it ends up being a latex mask that the killer was wearing in the entire movie.

And the killer tells us how the real Sydney had gotten plastic surgery and changed her name, but the killer found her and killed her.

The killer could be a loser who wants to be a winner. The killer killed Sydney, something seven of the previous killers couldn't do,and the killer did it in the first act.

Then the killer is killed by the last survivor.

Next shot is a POV shot of a hand reaching for the latex Sydney mask and putting it on,then grabbing the knife. Then the last survivor says, what are you doing? We hear Sydney's voice say, planning a sequel.

The mysterious new killer kills the last survivor, then the cops come in and ask Sydney if she is ok.

Everybody would think Sydney is still alive for Scream 6.

Unless they brought Kirby back. Then I think it could of worked.

I have to disagree. First, I have some serious doubts we'll ever see a real Scream 5, in which case Scream 4's ending of "**** remakes," perfectly sums it up. Secondly, turning it into a GF vs GF sounds kind of...desperate? Like resorting to Aliens vs. Predators or something?

I think if Jill was to live and get away with it, Kirby too would have had to live and not known Jill was the second killer. Scream 5 would then begin with Jill having become something shallow, like a C-list celebrity reality star, with her fame and fortune. She is then the opening kill and says right before she bites the knife, "I'm not supposed to die, I'm the survivor!" And then the killer who got her starts going after Kirby for the rest of the movie.

But all of this gets pretty far away from the original trilogy which Scream 4 capped very nicely.

I prefer the alternate garage scene and also Dewey talking about Tatum was good.

A quick fix to that would've been making Kirby the heroine.

At this point with murmurings in the media and the audio commentary. It's pretty much looking like Scream 5 is coming whether anyone likes it or not.

Certainly, I do think like DACrowe said though, you'd have to kill off Jill fairly early however. I'd also say the death of Sidney would've had to be handled better than it was at is in Scream 4 it was just a stab to the side of the gut and stomach. Sid deserves a better send off than that.

Sounds more like an over the top episode of The Bold and the Beautiful lol.

Those are good ones, and I also liked the alternate opening.

Here it is, folks! Scream-Trilogy has posted what appears to be Kevin Williamson's early draft of Scream 4!

Edit : Some of the changes for the actual movie were much better, although there's some dialogue from Kirby in this draft I wish they had kept.

Eh....that commentary was recorded fairly soon after the premiere. I'm still skeptical and unconvinced.

****

I watched this the other night for the first time since theaters. This movie is very, very fun. Even though I know it's Jill, the movie is still a blast which makes it very similar to the first. I hope Kirby lived and enjoyed seeing Sid as not the victim. Most of all Jill's motive was fantastic and great Williamson-laced commentary on the Facebook Generation. All around a great ride.

I also finally saw the cast pictures in the credits (forgot and left early in theaters). They're not as fun as they were in the first three movies, mostly because the song didn't match that '90s style. But it was still fun to see and the end on the opening victims there had a nice kick with the meta-humor in the movie.

I skimmed through the pages. It seems mostly to be more pop culture references (some great, some too much) and quicker death scenes. It also makes Sidney seem a lot more bitter than she did in the final film. It's overall not that different.....well save for the final scene.

There's still been recent interviews where Wes says it's pretty much a guaranteed thing. People need to stop being skeptical about Scream 5. The movie didn't bomb. It under-performed. The Weinsteins still want the whole second trilogy idea.
