SDCC 2007- Marvel Edition.

Yeah. I need to invent some sort of weaponry, and kill Moore and Ramos.

It's really just that simple. :o

Anybody else get the feeling Marvel is taking a few lessons from DC about sucking badly?

Meh, as long as Captain America, The Immortal Iron Fist, and a few other titles keep chugging along as well as they've been doing, I'm good.

Is Moore a bad writer? I don't think I've read anything by him. I'm just super pissed about Ramos though.

Moore's supposed to be quite a good writer, actually. He wrote Strangers in Paradise, which is supposed to be an indie classic or something. Kind of a shame that I won't read any of his Runaways, really. :(

While he may be a good writer, so is Bendis. On Daredevil and Powers.

I totally dislike his ideas for Runaways with Xavin and Victor alone. :o

Yeah, that bit where he seemingly condemns Victor to becoming a villain, period, right off the bat was not cool. I like Vic and predestination blows.

And Xavin. "Skrulls have ALWAYS been bad when I was growing up," gives the same impression of, "Hulk was ALWAYS the strongest when I was growing up" sort of thought pattern to me.

Yeah, that's kind of ******ed. An entire race of people are just genetically born to be bad and that's it? No redemption whatsoever? S'****ed up, man. :(

Especially when they were good guys once.

I mean, we can have Kree that are good guys, why not Skrulls?

Because, let's face it, entire races follow curves, they don't have absolutes.

At least he's not bringing back mutant Skrulls. =/

It seems like Bendis will. The Warskrulls, at least. How else would the Skrulls be able to copy people with powers so convincingly that not even Wolverine or Strange could sense them?

Weren't Warskrulls specially modified Skrulls, like the Super Skrull, Power Skrull, and the one that was imitating the Silver Surfer?

I could see Skrull tech being that good. I just don't see them being mutants like the X-Men or something.

And Wolverine is pheremone based, and since Skrulls literally change species upon shifting, they'd probably give off 99% identical human pheremone. Strange though? Totally beats me. Probably NONE of them are Skrulls.

Yeah...so far Marvel is seriously underwhelming me with their future plans. I'll be dropping Runaways and Astonishing X-Men due to the new creative teams, both of which are horrible for the respective books. I couldn't care less about an Eternals ongoing, and their only other big news so far involves a miniseries that follows a movie's continuity.

I think the House of Ideas might officially be running out.

They ran out 27 years ago, 3 months and 5 days ago.

I'm excited for the Knaufs on Eternals actually, moreso than I thought. I loved Carnivale, and I think Eternals based on the latest mini is right up their alley.

On the flipside, it became really easy to drop Astonishing X-Men.

Not to mention their Iron Man run has been pretty damn good.

Execute Program was the best Iron Man story I've ever read.

*has only read two Iron Man stories*

So Nothing really newsworthy.Anyone want to tell why Ellis is so bad for astonishing?I haven't read much of him but I hear he is really great. So what's the issue?Although I did drop his Iron Man Arc halfway through so that might be an indication. But still Explain.

In short, he's Mark Millar.
