Comics Sensational Spider-Man 28 preview

Awesome

Ock looks mega pissed :D

DOC OCK~!!!!

YES! This looks pretty freakin' awesome, man. I CANNOT WAIT until this book comes out.

And, yes, Thank you, Joe Quesada for making this decision. You're not going to hear it very often, or at all on this website, and I'm saying, damnit. This is probably the most exciting Spider-Man has ever been to me...EVER!

I truely hate the art. Especially with the new suit. Its like the new suit is uber tight(never before has there been so much detail on spideys ass) and weird looking in body structure.

Art is strange... hmmm... not sure what I think of it.

Yeah, we KNEW there would be the initial titillation of people's reactions. It's been something I always thought would be cool to witness... BUT it's along the same lines of wanting to find out what flying feels like and jumping off a cliff. Fun till gravity takes over... :(

Wow, that artwork is horrendous.

Ah, so this is the issue that will feature Ock's reaction to Peter's ID being revealed. I'll have to pick it up. You can bet anything that I'll be getting Norman's reaction. ;)

I liked Crain's stuff on Venom v. Carnage, though I still think he draws regular humans a little quirky, I still dig the art. Seeing Doc Ock's reaction has piqued my interest to give it a look-see. After all, that takes the wind out of his sails from being the first (that I remember) to unmask him.

Couldn't sum it up better if I tried. :)

Art looks very cool. Story seems very cool.

This made me think of something I haven't yet until now...how do the student's parents feel about their teacher being a superhero, and consequently, a target for supervillains?

If I were a parent and in that situation, I'm sure I'd have a problem knowing that my kid is walking into a target every morning for school.

That looks pretty RAD.

Yes I said Rad.

clayton's insane. if he could pull that s*** on a monthly, i think i'd have to worship him.

oh and yeah, i'm digging the unmasking.

Doc Ock doesn't look so chubby anymore...Peter looks exactly like Pat Mulligan when they did Venom vs. Carnage using the exact same artstyle! And why did that blackboard say Venom's back?

Yes. I, for one, and very happy to see him go back to looking a little more classic by losing the long hair, trench coat, and suction-cup arms!

Either:

1) Great way for Venom to tease Spidey by pretty much saying "I can get you while you're in class around the kids now"

or

2) A cruel joke by a kid who's ASKING for detention :p

I would love to hear the Doctor comment on spidey's metallic arms!

I prefer when Medina is on art chores but Crain is also good.
I think these guys are just filling in for the other artist when he is slow because its odd how its turning out they swap each issue.
Cool to see Doc Ock again, can't wait to see what he does even tho I think the unmasking is a bad idea.

The art is stunning:eek: this can't get to TPB fast enough:up:

awful, awful artwork. i'd rather see comics regress to overlapping silver-age colours and basic lines than "advance" to more realistic art forms if one of them is basically just CGI. never been a huge fan of doc ock, although negative exposure was cool. don't think i'll be buying it.

Its not gonna make sense to me if Peter is allowed to stay on as a teacher at the school. I know if I ran a school I wouldnt want a superhero who could potentially put the students in danger everyday.

^yeah i wonder what the note in the preview was about? aaaaand why does the board say he went to fight venom when he went to fight doc ock. the only saving grace for the writer is that he appears to be saying how spidey's responsibilities negate Mr Parker's responsibilites to his students. which is good and old school (no pun intended!!)

Judging from his reaction, it doesn't look like he was expecting Ock to show up. He looks surprised to see him. You see him leaving home with a broadcast on TV about the villains going wild, with Ock on the screen.

It looks like Peter just missed it. Either that, or that's what he's leaving to respond to.

Either way I am psyched to see Ock's reaction to this. He unmasked Peter before, but didn't believe it was him:

He nearly became Peter's uncle, and he tried to force him to unmask himself in Times Square in Countdown. From the preview, you can see Ock is mighty pissed off

whatever happened with him in marvel knights? while all that venomous stuff was going on? the police were doing some kinda testing on him??

I'm glad to see that Aguirre-Sacassa pays attention to Spidey's past. This should be a fun arc, and I can't wait to read it!

The one thing I like the most about the unmasking is that instead of going back to try to rewrite history, they are creating it by doing something new.

Missed a few issues, I need to catch up. This is the only book worth giving a damn about.
