BvS Share all General Audience Reactions here!

What a dumb thing to say when there are a good number of people who say their theaters were completly silent with no reactions one way or the other.

FYI my submission was 100% accurate. I hadn't seen the movie when I created the thread so I took pride in making sure I gave the most accurate description I possibly could, minus any exaggeration.

Yes of course there are tons of BS stories in here, no question about it-- but a few exaggeration (on both sides) doesn't make the real stories any less real.:cwink:

A wink at the end doesn't change calling me dumb. Given the, again to my eyes overreaction, of which I pointed to BOTH sides, I stand by what I posted. I don't ever believe these type of threads, especially when emotions are running so high. Besides... You yourself admitted to "TONS" of BS stories so... How was I dumb again? You know what? I don't care what your answer is, because instead of either ignoring my post or engaging in a civil manner you did the fanboy thing, which we always have too much of around here but is at epidemic proportions right now, and yeah, that includes many of the film's supporters and fans, some of whom are going on about conspiracies and such. Even as a fan of the film, that's silliness. But no less silly than someone calling somebody dumb and then admitting the point they were trying to make is totally valid.

Can we all bring our fanboy levels down from 11 people? It's honestly just ****ing exhausting in so many ways. Most of us are actually adults but so far the evidence, despite all the supposed high minded analysis being thrown around is pretty slim on that mark.

My theater loved the jokes and the "Peach Tea". I was surprised. Didn't really pay attention to their thoughts on much else, though.

Drop the insults or join the long line of those on probation.

Saw it again tonight. Applause for Wondy's intro, of course. After the nuke hit, I heard a kid down front go "Superman's dead?!"

Chuckles/laughs for Perry's "Where does he go? Kansas?"; a few of Luthor's lines; and the "cape" line, of course.

Good to hear from you, v:woot: This thread is probably the most fun thread on here. The theater experience is where I get most of my fix after the fact where I know I like the film......not the people who claim movies like Anj-Lee Hulk is better than this lol.

I NEVER called you dumb, i wouldn't call anyone dumb and despite the Mods here giving me a warning over that, which i still can't believe- just ridiculous, i was referring to you calling everyone liars- I do think it's dumb to call people liars- again, not CALLING YOU OR ANYONE DUMB.

I hadn't read your thread before i was warned but now after reading your reply i see why i was warned. you had a VERY VERY VERY strong reaction to what i said and your reaction makes what I said "appear" a lot more harsh and mean spirited then what I said or how i meant it...

That's what I get for trying to create a positive thread here. You can't win around here- people are way too oversensitive. And when it's really warranted the mods go silent. which is what i'm about to do on this board....

ROTFL!!!! That is something else, is it not? :woot:

If you give infractions over such MINOR things I can understand why there's such a long line....

Why put me on blast here and then go one step further to "warn" me...what's the point of that. Seems mean spirited and a bully tactic to do BOTH.

I think anyone here can see that you didn't insult him...and I find it strange that the forum member reacted that way, after all, he's said worse things to me (and other members) before...and when I commented on it, he called me sensitive. That's hypocritical.

- People almost crapped their pants when the bomb went off. Not me though, hehehh...

- Some people turned away from the screen when the coffins started to bleed.

- People sat in silence during the last minutes. I tried chewing my popcorn without making too much noise.

ENOUGH OF THIS! IT IS OVER!

J warned you. I don't care who did what, who said what. J warned you to stop, now stop. If someone so much as tries to get another word in on the matter, I will personally ban that member. Its done. Comply with J's directive or leave this site. Your choice.

My niece actually liked BvS to my surprise because she's a huge Marvel fan. Wonder Woman was her favorite and she's hyped for her solo film. OK crowd for a Monday afternoon.

One guy was laughing SO hard at the peach tea thing, then when the bomb went off he got quiet and went "....damn" and then I laughed :woot:

Lol did the same, it was eerie quiet. I thought the kid in front of me was going to cry because he was cheering when Superman saved Lois :csad:

That's awesome.

You should introduce her to DC Super hero Girls...we need more people to be aware of DC's efforts to expand their fan base, and of course we need more DC Fans :cwink:

So I went twice and had a blast both times, very good crowds people seemed to enjoy the movie a lot.

1st Showing: This was Thursday night at 9:30PM and this crowd was ready and hyped so much. When Batman and Superman first face off and Batman blocks the punch and says "Men are Brave" the crowd went freaking crazy. Clapping cheering and just super hype. Also when Wonder Woman showed up people yelled and cheered pretty loud. Then the other big cheer is when the Trinity forms like we saw in the trailer. Great experience and it seemed like everyone loved it. All 9 people I was with really enjoyed it.

2nd Showing: Was Friday at 12:30 in the afternoon, a lot more kids and a lot of couples also. Even some older couples. This viewing was really fun but not as loud as the first viewing. Again people cheered for the "Men are Brave" and also for Wonder Woman. But time I noticed a lot more people crying and getting emotional towards the end of the movie for obvious reasons.
I also talked to a bunch of people in line and they seemed very nervous for the movie because of the review. I told them I saw it the day before and that I loved it. At the end of the movie we were walking out and about 7 of the 12 people I talked to all said I was right. They loved it and said it was so badass.
The children in the showing really loved the movie except for one kid who was like 3 and wouldn't stop talking and making noises. The parents took him/her out of the theater. Other than that kids loved it and seemed very happy.

After both viewings every single person can't wait for the Wonder Woman showing and a lot of them want a solo Batman film. Most of them didn't even know there was going to be a Justice League and I explained to them the lineup of movies. They all seemed very happy and interested in the whole thing.

All in all it was a great two showings and I probably will see it again soon.

Cinema i was at was quiet through most of it. We don't clap or anything here so it would be weird and annoying if people did. Theatre was pretty packed especially as it was late easter sunday. I went with 3 people. 2 who only came because of me and another who loves marvel and Nolan and Christian bale. All really liked it. Was a bit confusing but they understood when I said it was just dream sequences.

First showing was mostly silent.

Second showing was more crowded (it was on Saturday night, so there ya go). A lot of Lex's, Alfred's and especially Perry's lines got laughs. The woman next to me jumped when the bomb went off. And there were some claps as the credits started to role. I didn't get a negative vibe from this showing at all, but no standing ovation when it was over.

Both audiences I saw it with, the first one in particular, laughed at all the right moments and cheered when Wonder Woman appeared. That's about it.
I know this isn't an audience reaction but I was just getting food somewhere and the guys in front of me were talking w the cashier (I assumed they knew each other) about the movie. One of the guys in line was the only one who had seen it and his description was, "the action and fighting was cool but the story was just weird. Like, who wrote this?"
Bet he'd be surprised to know it's an academy-award winning screenwriter.

Complete silence with some chuckles at Bruce's clown line, Alfred's marriage line, the jar of piss, and Martha's cape line.

Mines was complete silence other than a few chuckles at Batman's "oh sh**" and Martha's "I figured"

I went for a 10 PM show and the theater was about 75% packed but they all cheered when Supes showed up the first time, when Bats showed up the first time, when they fought, when Wondy showed up the first time and for the JL cameos, especially for Flash.

People also got most of the humor in the movie and were laughing out loud.

All in all a very animated crowd. :)

I saw it Saturday night in IMAX downtown. Theatre was packed. Crowd was quiet throughout. Moments that got the most response were the

giant bat monster jumped out of the grave. Made me jump lol.

Peach tea and explosion.

The moment Batman asks who is Martha.

Superman dying.

After the credits where nothing happened - audience audibly groaned, awww, what? Etc

Nobody clapped afterwards.

Saw yesterday for the 2nd time. The theatre was packed. Crowd was quiet, some applause at the end. From the comments I understood that it was divided between love and hate. Exactly like this forum :)

I went with three friends. The first one really loved it, the second one said "it was good but a bit shocking", the last one said "I have still to understand if I liked it". They would like to see it again.
:)

When I saw it Friday night in the UK, it was very busy but the audience was very reserved, wasn't much reaction and afterwards most comments were along the lines of "Disappointed with that" "That was all over the place" and "That was average".
