BvS Share all General Audience Reactions here!

The crowed i saw it with clapped when the film ended. Packed theater.

First 6pm screening was about 3/4 full or so. There were at least 5+ moments where the entire theater laughed, which was surprising since I heard this movie had no jokes at all. WW reveal in the Doomsday fight got the biggest reaction of the whole movie. Most people clapped at the end. Also, the parking lot was at full capacity as I was leaving the theater.

Had a pretty good time.

This only happened to me with MOS, both times i went the crowd went nuts in applause, 2nd time a little more, bunch of cheering and clapping. Hoping i'll be able to relive this experience again tomorrow and Saturday. :yay:

Last time I heard unadulterated cheering an applause was during Godzilla when the damn tail unexpectedly lit up...that was loud..

I always enjoy the hyperbole and exaggeration in these threads. In that vein, here is my crowd report:

There was a man in a wheel chair at my showing. When the film ended, the audience all leaped up from their seats and gave a rousing standing ovation. Unfortunately, this poor handicapped man looked particularly pained, clearly by the fact that he could not get up from his seat and give this film the proper standing tribute it deserved. Then "A Zack Snyder Film" credit came onto the screen. Suddenly a light shone down upon this wheel chair bound man. The light emanated from Zack Snyder's name onto the man. Suddenly, he was able to stand and walk and most importantly give Zack Snyder the standing ovation he so deserved.

True story.

It was for me.

And I expected to go in and like it.

I really can't help but think people are projecting what they wanted to hear onto their audience. This is a movie with precious few spots for cheers and clapping.

I.Am.Dead. :lmao:

The movie is pretty somber and the crowd kind of reflected that in my showing.

Just got back from watching. LOVED it. Seriously ignore the critics. It's amazing. Every minute was pure joy. I don't understand what people meant by some scenes were out of place. Flowed fine for me. I'm angry at the critics honestly. Totally unfair reviews. I went in with low expectations because of rotten tomatoes and every once in awhile kept asking myself where was the bad parts I kept hearing about? Well they never came. I feel bad for case and Snyder because of these undeserved poor reviews. Buy your tickets.

Totally agree.

LOL....the guy in the wheelchair at my showing immediately wheeled himself into oncoming traffic.

Outside the movies. Round of applause. A lot of talking. And kids behind me saying it was the best movie they ever saw. The critics had a hate on. BvS is basically the same as MoS but "darker" due to Batman's inclusion. My personal thoughts 7/10. It is very heavy on the easter eggs and a lot of people might not get them all. The cuts between scenes in the first half was like panels in a comic book so I get why it might be jarring for the critics.

U two can't help yourselves and ended up writing less about the theater audience as opposed to ur own personal views. By virtue of all of us being members of this community we are anything BUT the general audience...lol. With that said, I do realize most people seeing it Thursday and Friday aren't "general" in the true sense- but for now they will do just fine.

More than anything I'm really just wanting everyone report back their theater experiences- minus ur own personal views. There's more than enough threads here for that, so as much as possible let's leave that out.

I just got home, will share in a few....it was very positive by the way.

Some of the people laughed at a few of the lines and reactions. No one gasped at Wonder Woman's grand reveal.

No one clapped at the end, but I didn't get a feeling of animosity from my fellow audience members either.

I had a super enthusiastic crowd that clapped from the beginning till the end! --CW trailer and the ending of the movie.

I got there during the last couple of trailers, so they may have also been enthusiastic for the other trailers. From the ones I actually saw (Ghostbusters, War Craft, XMen, and Civil War) Civil War was the only one they clapped for, I actually associate the claps with Spidey more than I do the overall trailer but either way they were amped.

Then the movie gets underway... I can feel the energy and buzz all throughout my packed theater. I saw it at the movie theater right next to where the Twin Towers were- they had showings every half hour from 6:00 pm all the way up till 10:30. That was pretty cool!! The first time the audience got vocal during the movie was Bats first fight scene- they gave that scene a roaring round of applause it actually caught me off guard. The crowd was super hyped for WW they laughed at the scene by the sword- and cheered during the reveal- and the fight scenes featuring her.

I couldn't interpret their reaction to Lex. They never laughed at his jokes and they never really reacted to him so I couldn't tell.

There was only one reaction that I perceived as negative when thing we're getting "heavy" with B and S it was a more serious scene and people laughed.

When it ended there were more applause. There was one guy in my row a little too enthused, u could tell he was a hardcore fanboy trying to egg it in a bit more. My friend had a real negative reaction to it but I'll exclude him cuz he's "one of us". On the way out I heard one girl (she looked in her early 20s) say, "it was great". Then I heard a 9-12 yr old boy say something good...I couldn't quite make it out but he was bouncing around with joy- it was cute.

And that was that... Now I'll get working on my own personal review and post that in the appropriate thread...lol. ;)

There were laughs during some of Perry White's and Alfred's lines. Applause when Wonder Woman showed up.

If by chance you're implying me... I made my post of the audience reaction from my car in the parking lot. People did stand up and clap (it wasn't on some citizen kane slow clap **** if that's what you're envisioning) and a couple of kids that were walking behind me told their mom it was the best movie they had ever seen. Keep in mind these are kids. A lot of chatter from people as I left. The audience liked it. Are people supposed to lie and say what you want to hear?

Round of applause after it was over for me, no over heard criticism, Batman fans were happy

Theater was packed.

Audible confusion during certain scenes.

A couple of knowing laughs at the "freaks dressed like clowns" line.

Some people clapped at the end but it was sporadic and fleeting.

I bet they did.

Relax already. I don't even think I'm going to enjoy this movie but you gotta dial back being upset at the notion that some people might.

A lot of theaters are noisy as **** and people do get enthused. I've had people get insanely hyped through Captain America, Man of Steel, TASM, and remain dead quiet through things you think they'd go crazy for The Dark Knight, The Force Awakens, etc. Let people tell their stories.

Our show was pretty much sold out.

A good chunk of the audience was cheering for the fight scene, while the rest of the audience seemed at a loss as to why they were clapping at that.

Big cheers for Wonder Woman (even I cheered for that one).

Applause at the end. Kids behind us yelled “This movie SUCKED!!!”, so there’s that too.

Premiers are ripe environments for cheering and laughs. That's what makes them fun.

I went to an early screening on Monday with the most hardcore of fans, and you could tell how at the beginning people were bursting with excitement and energy.

By the end of the film everyone was dejected and dull. There were no cheers (except for WW) and no laughs. No standing ovation. I've never seen a movie kill the energy of a premiere crowd like this one.

Just saw it a second time with two of my friends. They saw all the negative reviews and were skeptical of it. Neither of them are really DC fans, though one did like Batman the Animated Series and Justice League unlimited. Both of them thought the movie was awesome. We even discussed it for a good half hour afterwards before my friend had to leave.

I generally get really engrossed in movies and don't pay too much attention to the rest of the audience, but I'll give you what I've got. The theater was completely packed. Lots of people in Batman or Superman shirts. Maybe 1/4th of the crowd. There was laughter during some of the lines (the loudest being Martha's cape line), and I heard legit gasps from nearby at the Wonder Woman entrance. I don't remember if there was any clapping.

I started out with an active attempt at gauging audience reactions, but I got caught up in the movie and then in my discussion with my friends. They really liked it, and their enjoyment was contagious. I'm seeing it again tomorrow night, so I'll let you guys know again what I see, for whatever it's worth.

Theatre was packed. Clapping at the end. The guys next to me freaked out a lot, in a good way.

This was my first midnight showing and honestly it was awesome, people were excited. When it started and the lights went down people went oooh!

When Jeremy Irons or Perry White said something funny people laughed.

There were also gasps and other moments of joy. It was a great crowd.
