Forgot to say that the friend I took (who is a big fan of comics) said her expectations had been lowered so much she didn't mind it.

I asked her if she'd buy it on bluray and she said she'd probably never watch it again.

Were we at the same screening? Kidding of course but when I saw it yesterday (we were 5 of us), the reaction was pretty identical to yours and pretty much the same scenes. There was clapping at the end but the gradual normal kind, not the talk show kind. I was still taking in what I saw before realizing the clapping and kind of half assed it too late. Haha

I'm giving honest feedback, but according to some peoples, it's all lies lol. I wouldn't wast my time for lies. It is what it is.

The viewing I just got back from the audience weren't as good as the midnight showing (which is probably because the mid-nighters were all fanboys) but they were still good. Plenty of laughing at certain parts (infact huge laughs when Batman punched Superman and it stopped working). What was best though was walking out after, there was so much chatter, from what I could hear people loved the movie. After leaving the cinema aswell there was a massive queue of people waiting for tickets.

The audience I was in wasn't very lively. There were some laughs, a few gasps, but that was it. But I've only ever been to one movie in my area where anyone clapped, and that was opening night of The Force Awakens. I didn't overhear any reactions outside of my group, which was consisted of my fellow high schoolers, with varying degrees of knowledge in comic book lore. General consensus from the group wasn't bad, but all agreed there were a lot of problems. The most common complaints were the length and the dream sequences. Batman was very popular and, while everyone enjoyed Eisenburg's performance, it was a mixed bag about whether he was a good Luthor. We all agreed that the ending should have had him [BLACKOUT]hardened in prison as opposed to being completely bonkers.[/BLACKOUT]Other feedback included Wonder Woman being good, but needing more screen time and Doomsday looking like crap. I did notice that my friend who best knew the comic source was the one who thought most highly of it. My 50 year old Dad also saw it, he agreed it was middle of the road, but really liked the characterization.

the audience at my IMAX was PUMPED!! t: and im not even including those mile long lines for the screening before mine or after mine.

the feedback is very very POSITIVE. so all the negativity from critics and the internet hate group *eyes some of people here* didnt work. if anything theres many "i heard this was bad but hey its awesome!*feels annoyed by being mislead on the negativity*"

im gonna go see it again.... when i find an IMAX screening that actually has a vacant seat

Everyone seem to enjoy it as far as I can tell but they loved WW and she got the applause.

Relax already. I don't even think I'm going to enjoy this movie but you gotta dial back being upset at the notion that some people might.

A lot of theaters are noisy as **** and people do get enthused. I've had people get insanely hyped through Captain America, Man of Steel, TASM, and remain dead quiet through things you think they'd go crazy for The Dark Knight, The Force Awakens, etc. Let people tell their stories.

Critics are losing their purpose now. We don't need them. People have their own brains, they don't need someone else's.

The GA at my theatre were quiet, and there was no big clapping at the end like there was when I saw MOS at theatre.

It's very possible, I mean look now you or I could start a website and review a film. Paid critics are irrelevant anyway IMO. I always make my own mind up on a film.

The audience in my theatre didn't seem all that interested. This was the first comic book movie I went to on opening night that did not receive an applause. Take from that what you will, but it seemed like no one got it.

When the Parademon punched Bruce and it went black some guy went, "Woah."

Everyone laughed at the gags. Lex got a few.

Wonder Woman got a good applause.

There was an applause when the movie was over.

When it was over some woman was crying hysterically in the lobby. I was at IMAX so you exit from the second floor and walk down the stairs. I could only hear it as I was half way down the stairs, but from what I could hear, apparently her husband just died I think so the ending got to her.

I have one of the biggest Marvel fanboys on my facebook friends list. And just know I don't throw that term around lightly. I'm not going to into all the reasons and explain to you why he is one, just humor me and assume that he is one for the sake of this. Well he posts an article that says, "Why you don't need to see Batman v Superman" or something like that. This guy has been hating on the movie since day 1. And now here is trying to convince anyone he can not to see the movie. Oh and he hasn't seen it himself btw. He has openly said he doesn't want to support DC, and he'll either watch the movie through torrent or if it's on HBO. This guy hosts tournaments in our local gaming community(cards and video games) so he has a lot of people on his list and a bigger reach than your average person. I think the article basically amounted to, "You don't have any fan obligation to see this movie." I just skimmed. It's just trying to convince people not to see it. Really pathetic stuff.

I looked at the comment thread on the facebook post though and was really proud of what I was reading. There were people saying how they will form their OWN opinion on things, and not just going to take the opinions of strangers. That's what we need more in this world in general(especially in the political realm). And how they're not watching out of some sense of "fan obligation" but that they want to see it. The dude's little crusade against BvS just crashed and burned right there. He came up with some half assed stuff after that, which was then met with great responses that made him look like an idiot.

We don't really applaud here in the UK in cinemas, but here's some stuff I overheard-

'Affleck is the best batman, he's just like the dark knight returns'

'Superman reminded me of the superman from red son' (I've not read it so unsure what they mean)

'The score was amazing'

'The music was sick (meaning good in the UK) I loved wonder woman's theme'

'Wonder woman was not needed'

'Wonder woman was kick ass'

'It was a bit boring in parts'

'Batman was a bit mean to superman'

'Val kilmer was alright as batman'

'Why are super man and batman going to fight' (this was before the film, I've heard this from a lot of people leading up to the film)

And finally from my missus-

'I'd have been crying at the end if I didn't know he would be back in the next one'

All that matters is what YOU think. We vote with our wallets. We vote with our own opinion. Judging by the box office, the fans are beating the critics. The critics don't need to tell us what to like and not like, what to see and not see, that's for us to decide.

We don't need them anymore. We're past that now.

Maybe it was just me but when Superman is getting the beatdown by Luthor's goons in Superman Returns made more of an emotional impact to me more than watching [blackout]Supes getting impaled by Doomsday,[/blackout] did anyone else feel that way?

Oddly, got very positive reactions from the second Ghostbusters trailer though. That was weird.
