Shaved my head for the first time,any advice?

Goatee/soul patch/something is probably appropriate, unless you are a big tattoo'd up angry looking white guy, in which case you will look even more like a skinhead, which can be kind of awkward even if you're not huge on people's reactions.

While I like the idea of going dramatically bald, and chopped off my waist length hair to go bald but chickened out at the last moment... few heads really can pull off bald AND clean shaven. Although if you have such an awesome bone structure... rock on, guy, rock on.

and god, YES, use sunscreen.

The funny thing is that in my country there are no nazi-groups,no racist groups nor anything of the kind,considering that the all the black people that live here are working for NATO or UN...so the possibilitty of someone identifying me as such is almost non-existant.

There are a lot of people goin' bald especially during the summer so it's not an uncommon scene.

Plus i'm a huge rap fan and i wear rap t-shirts(Nas,Wu-Tang,Tribe) all the time,so i don't think anyone would confuse me for a racist.t:t:

I didn't shave my head to look cool or something like that,i had problems with my hair for a long time.I work out and run 2 times a day for years and it was such a pain to take care of it...so i made the easiest (and most practical) choice there is.

It's interesting that while i was cutting my hair i just shaved the sides of my head and didnt planed to go all the way at the top...but after i left something like a mohawk i said,''hmm that's not bad'' and decided to go all the way.

The way my hair grows I would probably have to shave everyday.....

I always wanted to do it but I want to try it when I am away from work for a long period of time so if it doesn't look good I will at least have a little stubble.....

I love MMA. I've only been a fan for--three or four years, now, though? I'm fond of GSP, Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, Randy Coutre... and I have a soft spot for Luke Kummo, for being a hippie-geek. And of course Fedor is reigning bad ass and so on.

I think my fondness for mohawks is left over from having been metal/punk-ish chick in high school, though...

MMA is catching on pretty hard in the states. You see all kinds of people wearing tap out t shirts; it's very silly.

To be honest it's very weird here to be part of the hip-hop culture ...the stereotype of the ''gangsters'' is not easilly changeble,a lot of the concerts and stuff are purely underground...you know,i don't try to talk in a slang or try to wear baggy pants to look like a rapper but everything else?I'm in t:

Never shaved no...it takes too much maintenance. And only a few heads can pull it off.

I'll agree with this in part. Pointy/bumpy heads don't look good shaved. Also, for the most part, small-framed guys don't look good bald.

Though I would recommend growing some type of goatee/soul patch thing...white dudes with shaved heads and clean shaven faces do not look right.

I went with the full beard after I shaved. The lack of hair makes my beard stand out nicely, IMO.

I never worried about this either even though I'm a really big guy with a shaved head. We have a fast turnover rate at my agency and I've worked with people of all races as well as homosexuals. I've never had a single one of them tell me that when we first met, they thought that I might be a neo-Nazi. It's all about demeanor.
