Elizabeth Olsen is happy will the new full-on leather look of her superhero alter ego.

The Hollywood actress is set to return as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in Captain America: Civil War, due out later this year (16). She last appeared in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, where audiences saw her rock a black mini dress, red leather jacket and thigh high socks in chunky boots. Things are a lot different for Captain America as she sizzles in a red corset, black leggings and another red leather cover-up.

"The new costume represents a more functional costume than the end of the last movie, which I could only stand in," Elizabeth laughed to Total Film magazine. "And I obviously don't want to be in a leotard and headdress, so I'm happy with the full leather look."

Despite having to wear heels, the blonde beauty has insisted they're "very comfortable" and allowed her to shoot actions scenes with ease as they were rubber.

Elizabeth's crime-fighting aesthetic is a far cry from the costume she wears as Audrey Williams, wife of Hank Williams, played by Tom Hiddleston in biopic I Saw the Light. Her real-life character had a very distinct way of dressing, which the actress admits couldn't be fully captured on the silver screen.

"Every old photo of hers there is a big ‘A’ on everything, everything is embroidered," she previously laughed to instyle.com. "And all of her country boots say 'Audrey.'"

Audrey's footwear was one of her most famous aspects, with Elizabeth recalling how someone quizzed her about whether she'd be wearing "Audrey boots" for the part. Baffled at first, she soon caught on to what the person meant.

"I started paying closer attention to all of the photos of her, so we ended up making Audrey boots for the scene where they’re in all white," she added. "And that must mean something about someone’s character in a way, to have everything monogrammed."

Here's Wanda's bio.

With her powers of mental manipulation and telekinesis, Wanda brings a new dimension to the newly formed Avengers team. Just as Wanda begins to feel like she is no longer an outsider, she is unwillingly at the center of the controversy over government regulation of the Avengers. Following Hawkeye, the one Avenger that she knows will always have her back, Wanda joins Cap’s team.

Interesting...and kind of sad.

Any idea if her Wanda/Sokovia accent was toned down for this film?

It's sad that that's the only Avenger who has her back - or that she feels that's the case.

makes sense; given her trust issues in Age of Ultron. her brother died saving Clint. there's a special bond there. Vision is going to test that bond, I guess.

We also learned from Paul Bettany himself that there is a romance blossoming between the Vision and the Scarlet Witch (as in the comics), which was hinted at during the events of ‘Age of Ultron.’ According to Bettany, love makes the Vision that much more human, but also leads to a devastating action by the Vision during the film (some are speculating that it might be the Vision that shoots down Rhodey).

That shot of the Vision in a sweater in CIVIL WAR? Totally a tribute to AVENGERS 92:pic.***********/eriW4OSQma

There you see Wanda in her Age of Ultron jacket.

as a heads-up, there are people posting movie spoilers at **************.com. I'd avoid them, if i were you.

I always think about the weirdest things and wonder if Wanda mentions Pietro by name at all? :funny:

Looks more like a young Sarah Michelle Gellar than Elizabeth but overall...

The relationship between the twins and Hawkeye in AoU was the best part of the movie for me. They started off as bitter enemies and by the end, they were a tight knit group.

Scarlet Witch was freaked out about what she had done. Only somewhat defending herself, but not helping the fight. Hawkeye spoke with her and she realized that she's part of the solution. Later on, with the team unsure if they can trust Scarlet Witch - Clint gives his seal of approval.

Then Quicksilver sacrificed his life for Hawkeye (and the boy). I really wish there had been even a little bit more of their relationship shown on screen because I loved that. Made me think of the old days with Cap's Quirky Quartet. Easily the best incarnation of the Avengers ever!

I wonder if there's any possibility of a SW and Visison movie somewhere in phase 4. Probably could happen if they both survive infinity war part 2

A review of Scarlet Witch's action figure:

http://comicsalliance.com/hot-toys-civil-war-scarlet-witch-battle-captain-america/

The only real downside to all of these Marvel movies is the number of Hot Toys figures we’re supposed to try and keep up with. With one or two major Avenger movies per year, Hot Toys has been able to pump out the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and more with regularity. While that’s good for Hot Toys and fans with a tremendous amount of expendable income, it’s not easy on the wallet for the rest of us. I mean, it feels like just yesterday Hot Toys announced a Captain America: Civil War Captain America, and there’s already a new version announced.
Though Cap has had his fair share of expensive action figures, the Scarlet Witch is still new enough to the process that her second figure in a calendar year doesn’t feel too pushy. Perhaps it’s the dramatic difference between her first figure from Age of Ultron and this New Avengers-styled interpretation, but it feels right to get another Scarlet Witch for this movie. That, and the reworked paint app for the head sculpt has done wonders for its likeness accuracy.
There’s a lot to like about the new Scarlet Witch beyond that portrait. The tailoring on her Avengers gear is superb, and a dramatic improvement over her previous LBD and red leather jacket combo. Sure, it’s hard to get nice clothes when you’re being kept as an experiment in a war-torn country, but coming to the Avengers has done wonders for Wanda’s wardrobe.
It’s not all sunshine and happiness though, as this figure reuses a lot of assets from the last Scarlet Witch, albeit ever so slightly tweaked. The head sculpt gets a new paint app that makes her look less like a Hot Topic bargain bin hunter, and she gets an all-new hairdo. Will that curly hair be any easier to manage than her messy look from AOU? Probably not, but at least it doesn’t look like a tangled mess. Scarlet Witch comes with the same “magic” accessories as before, but this time she also comes with fewer conjuring hands. The molds though still bring a bit of translucency to make it look like she’s really capable of slinging hex magic or whatever she has in the MCU.
