Shopping In-Store vs Online

I prefer to shop in store. If something is defective or breaks right away I find it easier to return it to the store rather than having to deal with online returns.

For movies and games and such I will buy online or in store, which ever is cheaper.

Clothes I will always go to the store to make sure things fit right.

Online.
Stores usually never have what I want.
And they never have enough people on registers.

These mega billion dollar corperations pay people minimum wage and have less workers in store on registers or to help you.

Online for me.

I'd rather buy in store if it's possible. If it's comics or books I'd rather inspect the condition before buying. Or if it's music or DVDs I enjoy a browse before I pick my purchase.

I mostly use online for high end toys, geeky tshirts, and eBay. It's really the only way to get most of the stuff so I have to use it. Given the option I'd much rather buy these things in a proper shop.

with black friday and cyber monday coming up, i will probably do at least 75% of my shopping online, if not more

No waiting out in the cold, not dealing with people, or fighting to get a good bargain or get out of the parking lot. Online for sure!

In your top hat and cane, per the norm.

Store for most clothes and online for everything else. I can find better deals online than anything you would find in a store. Why do people still GO to those places???

Just for security. If you buy something at a store you can return that **** right off the bat if something is wrong. You gotta wait and go through channels online.

Still not worth it. For instance...I bought a TV online (brand new) for $400...my friend bought his in store...same exact TV but it was for double that price :)

Online.

Except for action figures. I need to choose the ones with the best paint job. :whatever:

Online for everything except clothes and food. I still love to browse bookstores, but prefer online for those too. If I can't find a good price on Amazon, I prefer to buy directly from the manufacturer's site.

who's ready for Black Friday?

anyone braving the odds and going in-store? who's already in line? lol
i think i will actually do most of my shopping online. technically i'll be working Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Meh... I am more interested in Black Thursday now. :o

i like both, but i like actually physically buying my items.
i don't have to wait for it to come in the mail.
but getting stuff in the mail is fun too!

i've already started online lol, i'm off tomorrow, so i might head out somewhere

I do my shopping online. It's just not worth it to do it in person.

Though I might go out at Thanksgiving around 4 to see what the lines are like. I imagine it'll be impossible by that point.

So do online sites start sales on Friday or Monday?

It really depends on what. Most video games are already on sale, though not the brand new ones. But you can find Mordor and Evil Within for 25 right now.

Which do you prefer? Do you prefer the going to the stores and physically choosing the items you want to buy, or do you prefer the ease of shopping from your home? Perhaps you like a combination of both?

Which stores do you prefer shopping in-store and which do you prefer online? Or maybe there's certain items you'll buy in one as opposed to the other.
With the holidays fast approaching, where will you do your shopping? Discuss.

I like to research clothes on line and pick them up in the store. Most department stores provide that option. I buy all electronics on line and pretty much everything else except groceries.
