what does my dream mean?!

I always dream I trip and then my body jerks in bed and I wake up.

True Story

I woke up pretty disturbed at how happy I was while doing it
My subconcious is twisted
Hi Carter,
It sounds like there is a relationship in your waking life, either within yourself or with other people, where your main strategy for relaying your own ideas is cancelling out another person's ability to communicate.

okay so, enough about you guys - more about my dream :up::down:up:

Your dream means that you look too deeply into your dreams. ;)

That's probably true, but I can't believe that even my subconscious is able to think that deeply.
I think I'm just a sicky.

cheat only if you're stumped:

hint 1:
People do not appear at random in dreams. People you see in your dreams tend to represent aspects of yourself, and their interactions are revealing.

hint 2:
Red, even in casual contexts, tends to suggest fierce emotions and passions [anger, lust, determination, love, etc.]

hint 3:
Items suggest ...their usage. Events suggest the consequences, positive or negative, of a decision/action the dreamer made in the dream.

hint 4:
Persons of different races tend to have convoluted meanings, if you are not of that race yourself. Black people for example, symbolize getting back to ones roots and/or primitive instincts. Oriental asian people symbolize wisdom. While it doesn't mean youare ignorant or racist, a good start to understanding why people of another ethnic group show up in your dreams is to look over stereotypes and first impressions. (As for latinos, well, ...be on the lookout for a condescending pun.) (I am black.)

hint 5:
Aliens symbolize an aspect of yourself that is cataclysmically different from what you believe of yourself, truly "alien" to you.

hope that helps - just want to see what people come up with :)

Glad I read this after.I'll try and figure out the setting symbolization.

Oakie, between all my psycho-babble I never got a chance to mention, I found this rather profound. It's not psycho-analytical, but you've got the right bunny ears on there.

This made me feel really smart () until I realized I don't know what the hell it means... (:down) :(

It means I can tell you were using critical thinking to form that suggestion.

Well, Jstorm, a Blacktino is a Mexican that has an obsession with Black Beans...

Or a biracial Latino (Black/Latin)...

I'm more inclined to stick witht he first one... :o

Stormy... I've missed you!

Oh man, anybody ever have sleep paralysis?
It sucks
You're awake in your mind, but your body is asleep, so in essence you're paralyzed in bed.

In my dream, you are my blacktino.

I missed you too. ;)

Sorry, Vibe.. no more spam out of Oaky and I.

...This should be the official... "What did you dream last night" thread and we can all discuss the interpretations!

It's a little overwhelming at first Cyke, but if you have an eye for relationships and structure, it's very simple. Consider all elements in a dream a metaphor for something else, that helps get you started.

And I like the Delaney method for figuring out particular symbols: imagine you're talking to someone from outerspace, and you have to explain to them what a boot or shopping cart is. The most essential aspects of these objects are telling of the dream symbology.

I'm no good at this, but my guess is that you may feel guilt by association because of the mean and racist comments from your aunt. Your attempts to help the Latino worker may be your subconscious making an effort to attone for your aunt's transgressions. The red boots may suggest that you feel rage toward your aunt for her actions, and by putting them in the shopping cart, it may be your way of putting that anger somewhere where it won't end up hurting somebody. As for the soy milk and Fruit Loops...well, milk is essential to sustaining life. Maybe this is your way of replenishing something within yourself that you feel may have been hurt or tainted by your aunt and the subsequent anger you felt toward her. Fruit Loops...I dunno...is that your favorite cereal? I'm stumped on that one.

...see, this is why I always leave the dream analysis to you.

Lately i've been having lots of dreams about people around me dying.
Usually loved ones.
They're usually really dark and twisted..it really frightens me to be honest.

Dark, eerie, confining dreams often show up when your own psychic well-being is off balance. Think of what those loved ones ESSENTIALLY mean to you. Their death in your dreams, symbolize the suppression of that aspect of yourself. Also consider the manner in which they die.

On the ohter hand, if you are a teenager, seeing loved ones dying may symbolize the changing waking realtionship you have with them.

recently Ive been scared of dreaming , as everyime Id dream I would have a sudden ''jerk like reaction '' and wake up , but the last dream I can remember involved me kissing this girl , whom I dont have any feelings for.

Uh, I don't remember posting that. Interesting. I'm going to post something else in here cause I'm bored. lately I've been having alot of dreams about my dead dog. Everytime he's in them it's usually outside and the weather's really nice. And he's always happy, in my dreams he's never actually died. We usually do stuff together in them, or he helps me. It's strange.

So what does the dream I had three nights ago mean? Where I was playing one-on-one against Michael Jordan and the only reason I held my own was because he was playing even worse than I was?
