this'll probably die without any replies, but who knows, people might have fun with it. I'm tired of helping you bums out with your dreams :p this time you help me! I would like to hear your honest understandings of it, with no prior knowledge of dream analysis method.

It's not as long as it looks - here's my dream (04/11/2006):

I am walking up a knoll in a green field. There are woods all around this bald spot. I walk into a tool shed-looking store. There was only one worker, a latino young man. I went outside and started walking again.

Now I seem to be back in this same store, but now it's bigger, like a dim warehouse. Near the back they are stocking this place, because soon it will open as a grocery store! I go to the back and see that kid from Holes and Walking Tall, a ******ed latino male, and my aunt Jackie. (My aunt makes a lot of mean insulting comments to people in real life.) My aunt's the boss. She is gruff and rude to the latino underling, calling him a "******". He fumbles his words in response. His eye was droopy and flickering...

I notice a shopping cart in front of me. It has items the "workers" (or maybe just that kid) are putting away. I see an opened soymilk carton, and possibly some fruit loops. I know these are mine somehow, I know I opened them. I want to help the people here put the stock out, but never physically helped them. When there were just those two items left in the cart, I asked the kid, "Do we put these away too?". He said, no, no, those're yours.

I drink the sweet soy milk. I put some red boots I own in real life in the shopping cart, out of no where.

now I turn around and this place still looks crummy, but now there are a whole lot of people, checking out groceries! The lines to the checkout are packed, it's really busy in here!

I wake up.

*clears throat* ahem :D :
like oh my god what does my dream mean?!!!11

I have to get my dream book but I'm pretty sure green fields are indicative of your underlying homosexuality.

J/K HV, it's a Dane Cook joke.

I once had a dream that I was a princess who ran away because I couldn't be with the man I wanted to be with :(

...Um, it means you have an underlying fear of mexicans stemming from your aunt's insults of all. You need to go grocery shopping, since you ate the last of the milk, and you'll probably wear the boots to the store...

And, you'll probably shop at this new store you've never been to, but hear it's good.

You'll also make the mistake of going during the first of the month, thus being surround by what you fear the most, Mexicans. :o
Just kidding on the last part...

...Clearly your subconcious is trying to tell you something, princess...

Wanna watch some yaoi with me?

cheat only if you're stumped:

hint 1:
People do not appear at random in dreams. People you see in your dreams tend to represent aspects of yourself, and their interactions are revealing.

hint 2:
Red, even in casual contexts, tends to suggest fierce emotions and passions [anger, lust, determination, love, etc.]

hint 3:
Items suggest ...their usage. Events suggest the consequences, positive or negative, of a decision/action the dreamer made in the dream.

hint 4:
Persons of different races tend to have convoluted meanings, if you are not of that race yourself. Black people for example, symbolize getting back to ones roots and/or primitive instincts. Oriental asian people symbolize wisdom. While it doesn't mean youare ignorant or racist, a good start to understanding why people of another ethnic group show up in your dreams is to look over stereotypes and first impressions. (As for latinos, well, ...be on the lookout for a condescending pun.) (I am black.)

hint 5:
Aliens symbolize an aspect of yourself that is cataclysmically different from what you believe of yourself, truly "alien" to you.

hope that helps - just want to see what people come up with :)

Men tend to have a logic-seeming exterior with a highly emotional conscious. Females have a highly emotional exterior, with a rigid, clockwork-logical conscious. It's not that the sexes are wired this way -- with society's masculinization and feminization processes, this superior-inferior complex in the sexes is simply "what you get".

Anyway, your dream probably sprung from over-supression of your anima (emotional interior). Try not to be so "manly" (which usually means supression of feelings); don't let people bully you into ridiculous definitions.

While on the subject of dreams, is it strange to have a dream that you made up before. My friends and I were talking abou the most messed dreams we've ever had. I came up with the idea of waking up in a dream with a shotgun with unlimited ammo and it didn't need to be reloaded. A couple of weeks later I had the dream I explained to them.

I also had a dream when I was younger that I was hanging out with the characters of one of my favorite t.v shows at the time Gulla-Gulla Island(this was when I was like six, so back off). While we were having a good time Pennywise the clown from IT comes out of nowhere and eats the youngest kid. The rest of the us run to the front door but the father from the show can't get it open. Pennywise starts to massacre the whole family, then I would wake up right before he got to me. The only reason I remember this dream is because it was a reoccuring dream and it scared the hell out of me until I saw IT again when I was ten and laughed my ass off, that movie is hilarious.

Sometimes supression is better.

taskmaster, I've heard some studies that say a gun firing is essentially a phallic symbol, but my understanding of it is seething rage within the dreamer. Pay attention to what you shoot at in your dreams.

Children are more attune to the feelings of their parents, teachers, and other trusted adults as small tykes. Even slight incidents of negativity, such as a raised tone, stoic silence, or threatening looks can seriously alarm children. That you had the Something-Ordinary-Becomes-Sinister dream -- and it was recurring at that -- is a freeze frame of how dysfunctional the adults around you were, at that time. If the dreams were particularly gory and terrifying, this is also ...indicative.

But now that you're a grown man, just make sure you make a better environment for your little tykes. Be the one who stops the chain.

best of luck

I want to get into it a little further but I'm kinda tired,so here's what I'm thinking:

The ******ed latino worker and the guy from Holes are representations of different aspects of yourself.your aunt is as well though. She may represent either the Ego delegating orders,or perhaps just a side of you thats hard on yourself.

Thats what I got so far,and now I'm tempted to cheat and look at the spoiler post you made, which sucks.

As I've grown older there has been less violence in my dreams. That thing with the gun was basically a one time thing. I honestly think that the violence in my dreams has decreased because the violence in my life has decreased. I used to get in fights all the time but I decided that it wasn't worth the time.

And you're right about dysfunctional parent thing. The parent that caused the incidents was removed( ran out on us then tried to come back into my life) and my life with my other parent has been great.

I havent dreamt in awhile(at least I dont remember doing so) but oftentimes I find people I've known previously in my life appear in my dreams, usually just as background characters.Whats the significance of that?

Another thing,my most meaningful dreams sem to involve me searching for something,or trying(usually unsuccessfully) to explore the boundaries of the dreamscape.Like I'm expecting to find something just beyond of whats there. And these kinds of things have been common occurences in my dreams all my life.

Just out of curiosity, were there any crabs with loafers in the dream?

imdaly, no there were not.

Abaddon, summarize to yourself what impressions remain upon you about those persons, and in what context you knew them. There's something about your current relationship that makes you feel what you felt with those past persons. For example, if you broke up with a girlfriend that was emotionally hurtful to you, and your current girlfriend has an argument with you, you will feel that same emotional hurt. You will likely see the first girlfriend in a dream, to denote the return of this feeling.

Try to parallel your search for something in your dreams, with a private, important desire you have in your waking life.

Oakie, between all my psycho-babble I never got a chance to mention, I found this rather profound. It's not psycho-analytical, but you've got the right bunny ears on there.

Hmm,this requires some deep introspect, but even then I'm not sure I'll come up with a definitive answer.I'll try anyway.

Mostly I think fondly of the old friends/aquaintances that appear in my dreams.

another thing, occasionally I'll have dreams that aren't cryptic at all,but are very plausible and realistic.

I had a dream that I was stabbing people in the neck with a television antenna last night

True Story

I woke up pretty disturbed at how happy I was while doing it
My subconcious is twisted

Dreams are simply your brains way of entertaining itself while you sleep.
