Should ROgue be asked to leave Xavier's?

  • Yes-she doesn't belong there anymore

  • No-she's got nowhere else to go

I'm starting to think that Chris Wallace seems to be really biased against Rogue, for some reason.
Biased? Not at all. But in this particular matter I view her as a sellout, & as I said before, she turned her back on everything the X-Men stand for. Don't get me wrong-I completely understand her reasons. But in the end, I think she made the wrong decision. When Bobby found her back in her room, I was really hoping to find out that she didn't go through with it.

To tell you the truth, I wanted her to have turned out to have not taken it too. But I still don't view her as a sellout. It was her decision in the end, and if she is happier with her life because of it, who are we or anybody else to judge her? Afterall, one should never live their life according to what other people think.

she was scared , thats why she ran away, but she came back after wolverine told her he would look after her, protect her etc. & that prof. x would help her & logan. & mothling i agree with your post 100% who are we to judge. but hey to each of thier own.

Actaully penn said she didn't take it for bobby, yes he was a part of it but penn said when she said 'no it's what I wanted' she was making it clear it was about her being unable to live with the isolation not about wnating to boink bobby.

That's not what this is about. Sure, I'm all for people finding happiness but she abandoned the very thing the school was founded upon; as such, there is no place for her among those who laid their lives on the line fighting for Xavier's dream. What if Bobby or Wolverine had gotten killed in the battle? She's a deserter. In the military they court-martial you for that. Maybe that's what should happen; some sort of tribunal.

No-one is taking into account the feelings Rogue would have had to live with. Imagine living a life without being able to physically touch anyone, let alone a loved one, without risking their life in doing so. Xavier would understand the feelings behind Rogue's actions, as would so many other people. What she done was completely justified. You just need to put yourself in her shoes... Xavier's school was indeed about fighting for the greater good, but his dream goes deeper than that. I believe he would have wanted Rogue to be happy...

See, that's just it. She ONLY thought about herself, & what she wanted. Nothing else mattered. She didn't question where this "cure" came from or why these people were so eager to administer it. From the looks of it they were giving out these shots for free. Everyone else questioned this, but not her. As I see it, even if her powers do come back, she'll never be an X-Man.

You think Rogue should go up against a tribunal just because she got what she truly wanted in order to be happy in life. You sir, are a joke.

Christ, her dream oppurtunity comes along and you critisize her for it??

I am seriously giving up. Goodbye this thread and goodbye to you.

It's not a dream shared by those she's fallen in with, so she doesn't belong there.

Do you share the same dreams as the people you live with? If not, I say you leave. :o

If your dream is to no longer live AS a mutant, you shouldn't be living WITH mutants in a sanctuary created FOR mutants.

So if you were, well STorm for arguments seeing as she is the new head, would you tell Rogue to leave the school? Could you seriously do that to her? Knowing, that she will probably leave of her own accord eventually anyway, as I can't see her choosing to stay there much longer.

I said before, throwing her out on the street is not what I have in mind. But if I were Storm, I think I'd talk to her, then to the other remaining X-Men. I'd let her know how I felt & remind her that that which brought her to the Academy was no longer in place.

And she needn't have taken the cure. She could just hide Leech under her bed so her and Bobby could get on with it! :)

Damn. I hate to say it-I know you were mainly joking-but you're right.
But that, too, ia an option she never learned about in her haste.

Storm : "Rogue! I mean, Marie! How nice of you to visit u- ARGH!"
Rogue : "That's for gettin' on mah case 'bout the cure, ho!"

Seriously though what has Rogue learned in her years at the school for the gifted? What use could she be to the X-Men or the students? Did she learn how to fly the jet as the end of X2 suggests? Did she learn hand to hand combat like Iceman?

I think she spent most of her time canoodling with him. Or at least, trying to.

Oh, come. on.
Are you serious?? Yes, its not impossible, but to actually sincerely say that having Leech nearby while Rogue and Bobby do it is obscene!

a poster said that she didn't even know about final battle. & i agree, but she didn't desert them. she left cause she was still conlficting withherself on wether or not to take the cure.

now if the xavier kicked her out or worse, BEFRIENDED her. than they are the ones that are dishonor the very fondation the school was bult on. the'll be doing the same exact thing that the human beings are doing to them. shunning them out because they are different.

I'm with Mothling on this. Her actions were justified... enough said.
