Well bruce was called out of hiding to save the world. A bit more important than seeing your woman. Pepper is in the movie. And thor, well who knows. But he's a tad busy stopping his brother

In other words....the Masters of Evil. I don't know that we'll get'em this movie but that'd be a good place for a sequel to go. Then got to the universal-scale threat(s) in the 3rd movie(Thanos, Korvac, Beyonder, etc.)

I think they should save these Masters of Evil for the third movie, maybe have Red Skull and Hydra be the main antagonists for the second movie allowing for more SHIELD involvement. This could also set up an solo Nick Fury movie too.
