Should they make another Punisher movie?

How about for the Punisher remake film they use Thomas Jane's idea of having it be dark and grity like Taxi Driver. Movie can be about the slavers or whatever they was called storyline from the comics, while also showing flashbacks of how Frank Castle became the Punisher.

I dont understand... If they could make an awesome story, with Thomas Jane as The Punisher, with great music, that was faithful to the comics, why didnt they just make a sequel with this as the story basis?

And yeah I did have to go downstairs. Now I am at the Gnucci Estate and its super hard.

the Gnucci estate wasnt that bad...but it does get harder after it

Yeah I know, usually I just breeze through these levels, but here my health is really low at the checkpoint so I have to avoid any injuries and it honestly is giving me trouble.

Close second to 04's theme.

That sound like the PWZ theme.

i dont think ive ever felt so much joy playing a game when that part came up.

even though its ****in hard i loved the Stark Industries part.
My brother was like "OHHH YEAH!" Probably one of his favorite moments in a video game. He hasn't even finished the game yet. One of his favorite "special punishment" moves is when you put someone in a coffin, shut it, re-open it, then throw a grenade, and shut it again. :awesome:

War Zone had a score? I dont remember anything at all, and I pay attention to soundtracks because that for me is a deciding factor of whether a game or movie is good or not.

And that Bushwacker fight was intense... I cant really explain how though because it wont make sense in writing
:awesome:

Was the 2005 game any good?
I'd rank it up there with the good Super Hero games like XMO Wolverine, Batman Arkham Asylum, and Spiderman WOS. I'd definitely check it out if you're a fan of The Punisher. Heck, check it out if you're not. I know somebody who hates The Punisher and loved the game.

I got the 2005 game when it first came out and only a few months back did I complete it 100%, including all the upgrades. The two things that gave me trouble where the side games for Stark Industries and Rykers Island, those were a ***** to get through because you can't take any damage at all.

it was a ***** to get better scores in the later levels...i loathed it.

My favorite level in the 2005 game has to be the museum/zoo. I also love the crackhouse, chop shop, Gnucci manor, meat packing plant and Takagi building.

Yes, if the Punisher movie with Jane had been made with Stevenson we would have the perfect Punisher movie!

If Marvel make another Punisher movie, it should be set in the 1970s (when New York was extremely violent, crime was on the rise and the idea of the Punisher would make sense), and they should study movies like Death Wish or The Warriors. The whole concept of the Punisher belongs to that 70s era with violence escalating and New York subways full of graffiti. Nowadays, the Punisher seems a bit excessive for these modern times and just not as contemporarily relevant.

id have to disagree, while the 70's made sense everything has changed since then. there is still organized crime and now we have the threat of national security to worry about so in essence the Punisher now has more to deal with that isnt your average street thug.

But we've had THREE Punisher movies that tried to set it in modern times and they haven't managed to make any of them that distinguishable from other run-of-the-mill action movies. Making a period 70s Punisher movie would look visually different and would be a retro, throwback to a different time. It's not just about what the Punisher has to deal with now, it's about the setting that he could be in and how well he would work in that era.

I think a Punisher film set in the modern era could still work and be unique enough from other revenge and Action films of it's ilk, it's all a matter of the storytelling.

Although the TV series "The Equalizer" was made in the 1980s (probably around the same time as the first Punisher movie), it captured that sense of violence that was prevalent in NY in the 70s. Maybe it could be because New York hadn't yet been cleaned up, and the violence still reigned supreme. If the 80s Punisher movie had been set in NY like the Equalizer, it could've worked.

Another 70s movie that a new version of the Punisher should study is Dirty Harry (more so than its sequels).

Too similar to Taxi Driver.
