Should they make another Punisher movie?

For sure. It was like Artisan had no faith at all with the project and didn't want to put any effort whatsoever into it.

Well not really, I mean Artisan was never a big studio, they mostly did smaller independent films (which is also the main reason the insurance on the film was so high, taking a chunk out of the budget). If they had no faith, why the hell did they pay Tim Bradstreet to make a bunch of posters for them, when it would have been cheaper just use photoshop.

It was a niche character, yeah it could have used a bit of bigger budget and all that, but so does every movie. What came out of it was still a good film.

I still think they made a HUGE mistake by not carrying on with Tom Jane as The Punisher and just making a sequel to that movie, he has still been the best representation of the character on screen for me and that movies popularity has only risen over the years, really bad mistake on the part of Lionsgate.
Agreed. I love the '04 film, and I met Jane at Emerald City ComiCon last year. He was really sorry to see the Punisher reboot/sequel/whatever it was go down the tubes. He knew it was crap and refused to sign on. Which, after watching it, I fully understand.

Holt McCallany as Frank Castle....just sayin.

Been watching Lights Out on FX? I was thinking the same watching him. He looks like Frank and definitely has a good voice and presence for him. While I'd want Jane back in a heartbeat, if there absolutely has to be a new Punisher for the next movie if it ever gets made, Holt is my pick.

I saw the first episode last night and through the whole thing I kept saying to myself "This guy could be a great Punisher."

I've thought the same watching the show. If not playing Frank live-action, he certainly has a good voice for him to voice him in an animated series (preferably one aimed at mature audiences).

I saw Punisher Warzone last night and it was terrible. There have 3 Punisher movies at this point and none of them have been good. Should they ever try to make a forth one and if so how do they break this cycle?

Well 2nd one was partly good, better then 1 and 3 but I think at this time Marvel should not make any Punisher for awhile and focus on other projects

I agree with Morg. As much as I love Punisher, they need to put the franchise in the vault for awhile. Let it simmer

the punisher would work best as a tv show. with a movie they have to give him a villain to fight, on a tv show you could do all kinds of storys like having him in prison, or showing him as a solider.

Yes, they should make another one, but this time follow the comic, put him in his costume.

Which costume, the one from Punisher Max or 616 Punisher? Because I like the Punisher Max look way better and that is what they have used for the last two movies, more or less. I don't see what function the white gloves and boots have, they just make him a bigger target.

Yeah I prefer the MAX one

If at all the 616 costume could be something Frank wears if he does some huge climatic raid on some kind of mob headquarters

With the costume in PWZ, they did seem like they were trying to play a little homage to comic costume with the collar.

Yes I agree "Running Scared" was pretty cool. The Punisher needs to be as realistic and gritty as possible with tons of hardcore action. :-)
