Nice! Hopefully now SOME day Frank Castle will get the film treatment he deserves!

Man, talk about glutton's for punishment

Honestly, I forgot about Dolph's

Probably just the healing process.

Man I thought Lionsgate would do good after Punisher 2004 and how awesome it was. Lets hope Marvel does better. And also lets hope that Thomas Jane comes back.

I sincerely loved The Punisher 2004, it appeared on tv and i expected something really bad and horrible, but then i had a very pleasant surprise.

Proud to give TJ's movie the 100th vote :D
I didn't watch the extended cut, couldn't find it, maybe it does fill in some gaps in that movie:
  • How did Frank survive after a bullet near his heart?
  • Who is the guy who helped him?
  • How did he find a place to stay in?
  • Where did he get all his weapons and materials from?
Those are as far as I would like to know how and where they happen. The rest of the movie is pretty good, I love it. Frank's plans and fights are great, and I love the origin of his shirt
Easily one of the most fun comic book movies, with a nicely catchy theme
Thomas Jane = Perfect Punisher
Been reading some of the 80s comics in recent months (since July 2012), and his violence is similar to those, not extremely bloody and chaotic

The 1989 movie is a fun 80s action flick, there are some moments in this film superior to the rest, like the interrogation by Yakuza, and when that guy asks him about his case, it's beyond vengeance

War Zone is good for cartoony violence, the story has plenty of holes
I watched some Punisher movies -not based on the character, but same story basics- including this years Safe starring Jason Statham

The extended cut just explains how he gradual finds out that it was his friend/ex-partner that sold him out to Saint.

*That's explained as pure luck, angle of the shot/caliber of the gun.
*He's just a hermit that lives on small island.
*The newspaper probably.
*Him being an ex-soldier, he kept a lot of that stuff in a storage locker and got some of it from his father's collection.

I'm not a fan of any of them, they just feel like a regular action movie it don't feel like Punisher

There was something immensely satisfying in watching John Travolta dragged behind a car to his doom. I suppose that scene alone would justify my vote for Thomas Jane's version of the Punisher, both the character and the movie. I didn't care much for War Zone, and I couldn't get myself to like Ray Stevenson's character either.

After watching Dirty Laundry rather recently, I'm hooked on the idea of a reboot or a sequel to Jane's Punisher, with him in the title role. That was some fan project!

Never saw Dolph's but Janes and Stevenson's were good I thought. Not spectacular, not super special but good nonetheless. Jane's was my favorite of the 2 and thought itw as a more than serviceable origin story.

The short film, DIRTY LAUNDRY was my favorite!!
