Should they make another Punisher movie?

I recommend running down to Barnes and Noble and picking up Moon Knight: The Bottom. It's a fantastic story, it's well written and has some of the best art I've seen in a comic

I'm not American man, I don't think there is any Barnes and Nobles over here in ol blighty. But I'll try to find it on amazon or something. Cheers for the tip

I don't think there should be another Punisher movie until Marvel gets the rights back. Though the 2004 Punisher was fantastic IMO.

Moon Knight: The Bottom.

Ok...is this like a pun involving mooning and butts and whatnot? Or is there an actual reason it's called THE BOTTOM?

holy **** ace your not american as apple pie?!!! thats interesting, were are you form if you dont mind me asking? i think a punisher film with some kind of real task forse from the cops, a group of hired guns working for a family franks working on could amke oine hell of a movie, warzone wasnt as bad as people say, but 04 is still aewsome

aewsome im the 65 cousin to the queen of england and a descedant of willaim I, henry I and II and willaim longswordspee some earl of some were, i ahve a very rich family history

whoo hoo! no one i know gives a flying **** over here about my royal blood, ive even got bushes in my family tree , both presidents! and john wayne

Another Punisher film should be made, and with Ray Stephenson as Frank Castle. At least to me...I would rate the Punisher films as follows...
1) Punisher War Zone
2) The Punisher (89, with Dolph Lundgren. Albiet a Punisher film without Castle's Skull, it is closer to the spirit of the character than the 04 version)
3) The Punisher (04, Unwatchable, not like Marvel's Iconic character at all, plus Tom Jane wasn't nearly as big as Frank Castle should be physically.

If Marvel decided to make a...PG 13 Punisher film, there is only one way to do it properly. Give him his 80's era supersuit with or without the white gloves and boots, Battlevan, Microchip and have him take on street level supervillains like...Tarantula, Jackyl, Hammerhead (if Kingpin is not available) and terrorist groups like A.I.M. whom the punisher has fought in the past. There could also be biker gangs and white slavers thrown in for good measure.

3) The Punisher (04, Unwatchable, not like Marvel's Iconic character at all, plus Tom Jane wasn't nearly as big as Frank Castle should be physically.

Like the movie or not, but if you've read The Punisher: Year One the movie is a pretty close representation of how he was in the comic; drinking, depressed and suicidal for about more than half the mini.

hardy har har it's called the Bottom because it's a story bout Moon Knight hitting rock bottom and having to rise above it all or whatever

There is no way someone didn't do that as an intentional pun.

I'd like to see the likes of Moon Knight be the next R-Rated Marvel movies.

As much as I like Moon Knight, I think the general public would compare him too much to Batman nowadays. I preferred Moon Knight when he was PG-13and not some brutal killer.

Didn't he have a TV show in the works?

All of the Punisher movies are flawed, but they all also have some good points.

1. 89' some good lines, Dolph's wooden acting actually worked here, flawed by backwards story and 80's cheesiness, but not unwatchable.

2. '04 good performance by Jane, but too many mind games and Saint wasn't a badass--a money launderer who got revenge for similar reasons as Frank? C'mon.

3. '08-- Good fit for Ray, badass Punisher, probably best-paced of the three, fun movie but some bad dialogue and some choppy editing during shootouts.

I don't see why PWZ is hated so much as it is. I thought it was flat out more fun to watch then the others. Watching Tom Jane spiral down was good drama, but you can only do that in an origin movie.

Ahh see I prefer Moon Knight being brutal. It makes him the anti-Batman of the MU.

Vote HBO series with the lead as Ray Stevenson, who already has a good relationship with HBO because of Rome.

As much as I like Moon Knight, I think the general public would see him as a Batman rip-off unless they really played up the things that make difference. I'm not as much a fan of this ultra-violent version as I am of the orginal run.

And whats horrible about PWZ? All the Punisher movies are flawed, but they all have good thigns too.

89' -- true to violent, emotionally flat-lined character, except for origin. Dolph's wooden acting actually helped out here. Good one-liners. Flawed by meandering plotline and low budget.

04' -- Yes Jane was awesome, but mind games dont fit character. Saint was a horrible villain--a money launder whose motives for revenge are as understandable as Frank's (love of family). Glass was a better villain.

'08 -- most fun I think, best paced, arguably best depiction of Frank. Some bad dialogue, a few cheesy scenes, choppy editing in gun fights.

saundancer, you posted the same thing like 3 times, is there a piont involved?
i liked the 04 and wz, they meld well enough into each other and if you had jane in stevensons place it would be a sequel. of course maybe a just like the mindless violence in these movis, i can never tell

Ditto. Although, I thought Dolph was a little too wooden, at least he was greatly intimidating. If only he had that skull on his shirt.

Again ditto. He was a better actor. This Punisher though was indeed overly calculated, and not enough cold. I don't think he ever shot a criminal in cold blood once, he even let that dirty cop from the deleted scene kill himself.

Indeed. This one was unfairly bashed. Though, the Jigsaw vs. Punisher fight should have been more evenly matched and less of a Steven Seagal-ish outcome.

if i post multiple times the same thing, at least its when the comp is being a weird
and the violence i guess paces the story? but i like the character of castle becuase of what he has chosen to do and how he does it
