Sequels Should Venom Return??

if they wanted to bring him back, they could just make what we saw turn out to be his camoflaging abilities. like when he blends into his environment his skeleton is the last thing to disapear or something lol

There doesn't seem to be anything left after the explosion. One could argue that Eddie and the symbiote went flying off-screen somewhere when Peter turned his head as the pumpkin bomb exploded, so Eddie could've rebonded with the symbiote, then the impact of the explosion could've sent Venom flying a distance.

Both of these could be used (i even suggested what I'mVenom did a while ago) but they would both be a huge stretch, especially for us, who clearly saw Brock die on the DVD, or in some cases, at the cinema.

The only thing I think could be used if the symbiote from SM3 was used to merge with villains with form Venom's offspring, perhaps scorpion could be used well if he was included.

No Carnage, please. We've seen enough goo for one movie, let's move on people.

I used to be a strong supporter of Venom returning but now i think they should wait until they reboot the series in like 10-15 years and not ruin him

Should Venom return?

I think he should eventually, in Spider-Man 5 or maaaybe 6, to kill Gwen Stacy so Peter could get back with MJ.

Eddie Brock should return to be more of a bad-ass, but not right away.

Just let this thread pass on into the obscurity zone already.

After watching Spider-Man 3 again today I do think that Venom should make some kind of comeback in SM-4 or in SM-5, especially if he doesn't get his own spin-off movie. I'd love to see Topher Grace come back, he did a killer job as Venom in SM-3.

As I said before, I only want Venom to return in a spin-off film. Don't bring anymore symbiotes into the Spidey films.

Well, I wouldn't mind if they brought more symbiotes into the Spider-Man films if anymore are made but it would be much better if Venom got a few of his own films. I really hope that they could persuade Topher Grace to return for the movies. He did a great job as Eddie Brock/Venom in Spider-Man 3 & I think it would be best if Avi Arad & crew could get him to return.

Venom should have Doc Ock treatment (in other words, be the only villain) in a Spider-Man film. Since Spider-Man 3 was a bang-up job, and Eddie Brock clearly turned into ash, there is no way that Venom can come back without insulting the intelligence of anybody that has seen the film. Either he is the sole villain in a Spider-Man movie, or he stays away from the silver screen.

That's what's best. Sam Raimi, being the *****e that he is, obviously hated Venom enough to deny him the proper screentime.

I don't mind so much that Venom was pushed aside to give more screentime to Harry Osborn, or Sandman (with his stupid locket), or even time for Peter to use the black suit to turn evil. But what I'm pissed about is the slap in the face at the end.

Raimi loves Sandman, he blows away in the wind. Raimi doesn't like Venom, he gets incinerated. LAME. That makes it nearly impossible for him to return to the franchise. And Raimi knew that Venom was super popular, and that he, himself, who doesn't like Venom, might not even return to direct sequels. How messed up is that?

Raimi likes Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Harry, yet they were all killed at the end. Your logic fails.

In a reboot yes, but as far as this continuity goes ummm...no.

Okay, first, I want to say that I have nothing against Topher Grace's performance in Spider-Man 3 in and of itself. I thought he was the most entertaining person to watch the whole movie. I also want to say I don't want Venom to return, simply because, in the context of the movies, his story arc is complete.

That said, it just hit me just how much they botched the possibility of a truly great, fleshed-out Spider-Man/Venom movie. Hell, they could have even reduced the entire symbiote saga into two movies: in one, Spidey gets the symbiote costume, goes through his whole revenge thing fighting another baddie, Eddie is introduced, Spidey realizes costume is bad, ditches it, Eddie gets the costume, end of the movie. Then, in the next movie, Venom tries to kill Spidey, they're enemies, they fight, they have their whole business, and then, at some point, Cletus Kassidy gets the symbiote spawn and becomes Carnage, wreaks murderous havoc, forcing Venom and Spider-Man to team-up, because Eddie isn't a totally immoral human being, they go up against Carnage, and somehow, Carnage and Venom both end up dying, but it doesn't feel like either of them are totally wasted.

There's really no way Venom could have NOT died, and there's really no way to get an entire film with Venom as a bad guy, because Venom is so singleminded in his pursuit of killing Spider-Man, that the ENTIRE MOVIE would consist of Venom trying to kill Spider-Man. That can work for one-fourth of a movie or so, but not an entire movie. Ditto goes for Carnage going around wreaking murderous mayhem, because it gets monotonous and eventually, way too many people have died to excuse Peter doing anything with his time OTHER than trying to stop Carnage. So, by stretching it out over two movies, it forces non-stop, monotonous action, whereas, over one movie, there would be lots of action, but it wouldn't get repetitive. Plus, the development of Eddie's character would feel much more satisfying and complete.

Now Carnage isn't even a possibility in Spider-Man, because Carnage is only effective as a plot device that forces Spider-Man and Venom to team up. Spider-Man alone against Carnage alone is stupid and serves no point and offers no potential for character development.

Either way, reducing Venom to a single-scene in a single movie was inexcusable, and it would have been entirely possible for them to contain Venom and Carnage in one movie effectively.

Damn Sony.

The demand for Venom was high from the beginning, but Raimi still pursued his own interest and went ahead and wrote script for a petty thief, which eventually led to an average movie.

If only Raimi would have listened to the fans earlier, this mess could have been avoided. I mean come on, Sandman? Why not the Lizard:huh: They could have done two monster in one and got it over with.
