Siege Ends The Avengers

Beast could help.

Or Marvel could just give him and his X-Club their own book. :p

Making Avergers team looked likfe a lot of fun, so I gave it a shot.

I like those of you who said make the Avengers an orgaization again.

If it is an oraganization, I would love to see Steve Rogers as the CEO or Chairperson of the Avengers. His job would have him running the initiative, reporting to the president, recruitment of other heroes around the world, and occasionally going into battle as Cap.

This Avengers is not funded by Stark, and it goes back to being a goverment funded opperation. Citizens could become Avengers employees as civil servants. Bring back Jarvis, Rick Jones (have him stop being A-Bomb), and all the others. Maybe have Pepper Potts work into this as well.

Thor as the leader of the Avengers (it's his time)
Captain America (Bucky) as second in command
Iron Man in a much more humbled position
Wasp (Hank Pym)
Beast
Spidey as mentioned, would be a great companion to Beast
The new Captain Marvel (Marvel Boy)
Ms. Marvel
Quake (Daisy Johnson) I would love to see her step up
Sue Storm (never going to happen, but man she desreves it)

Let me know what you think

I don't think Beast knows about X-Force per-say. He just suspects something going on and couldn't deal with the dark path that Scott and Emma have led the X-Men to.

He once asked Scott why Wolverine and the others were disappearing for days and when they came back there were bloody clothes in the laundry. If anything, he was the only one not turning a blind eye to it.

Her and Reed would come as a package deal. They both became members back around Avengers #299-300. It didn't last long though.

I like the idea of Jean Grey joining the Avengers. She's probably coming back soon and she may not feel welcome on Utopia since Scott and Emma have been a couple for a long time now. She's got a lot of power and a ton of experience working in a team atmosphere. She can easily make the transition. Opens a lot doors for team dynamic and relationship/friendships.

That said, that's why I think that Beast should return to the X-Men to get Scott away from the darkness.
But he won't. He'll just get back on the X-Men and whine impotently while the grimdarkness remains. Grimdark = popular for the X-Men. That's why Scott's a vicarious murderer, Wolverine's on an assassination squad, Archangel's a remorseless killer, and the X-Men have stopped receiving my money.

:awesome:

I wouldn't necessarily make the Avengers into something that resembles a business so much, though. I like the idea of them as a more independent Initiative--maybe a partnership with the US government where they're a privatized superhuman army directly under the founding Avengers + Cap's leadership.

Huh, it occurs to me that I've just described a nationalized version of Justice League Unlimited. But that show had a cool idea for a super-team, so I wouldn't mind seeing Marvel crib it.

Since we're talking about which X-man should be an Avenger, I always wanted to see Piotr break from the X-men and be an Avenger. Actually, I used to think it would be kind of interesting to see Scott leading an Avengers team, but then he became a complete *****e-bag, and it wouldn't be fun anymore.

Yeah, nothing about Scott is fun anymore. :o

Colossus as an Avenger would be interesting, but with the Avengers already having the likes of Thor, Hercules, Ares, Wonder Man, and She-Hulk on speed-dial, another super-strong person seems unnecessary.

Then again, I suppose Beast isn't necessarily the smartest or funniest guy on the Avengers, either.

I actually like X-Force as the hit squad. The only thing is that Beast was the only one to voice a complaint with Scott about it. Someone on the team needs to step up and challenge it. Everyone on that island has blinders on. Scott's heading towards a dark place with X-Force, just like Daredevil is by taking over the Hand. Both are gonna end up regretting it in the end.

Except there haven't been any ill consequences for Scott so far at all. Everyone else doesn't know about it or has happily gone along with it, and they've all gone along with Scott's rather overt militarization and hardening of the X-Men overall. And hey, the mutants don't seem particularly worse off for it.

She'd definetly fit in, since she's a heavy hitter and could take on some of the Avenger's classic threats. Id love to see her in the Avengers as I dont see her fitting in much with the Scott/Emma show over in the X-men. Probably a change of scenario would be a much needed change for her character

Thats bc most people on the island dont know about it. Aside from the team, Emma, Boom Boom, Magik and the Cuckoos are the only ones that know about X-force. The rest are oblivious

It would be crazy if Scott was given the boot by the X-Men if the X-Force thing backfires. He's never been in that situation before, shunned by his own kind.

That's effectively just the Xavier deal all over again. Leader leads and everyone loves him, leader is exposed as corrupt, leader is ousted by angry underlings. That'd be a sad, cyclical commentary on the X-Men's collective morality. :csad:

Kind of similar to where the team was in the early '90s, which at least as an idea was good. Poor Daisy thought she was going to be an Avenger a few years ago and was promptly shot down.

Oh yeah, I guess making the Avengers some kind of peacekeeping organization is similar to Johns' giving them UN status.

I'd kill for Beast to be on the team, him being there with Spidey makes it better! I would of put him on my list, but I didn't know that SWORD is being canceled.

Then again, I suppose Beast isn't necessarily the smartest or funniest guy on the Avengers, either.

But he is one of the 8 smartest people on Earth so his intelligence would still be a big help, even with Reed, Tony, T'Challa, Bruce, Pym, and Amadeus under the Avengers banner.

Damn it, if the Avengers are to take a hiatus, then let there be a new order to take control of a world gone wrong! Bring on The Warriors:

Justice (Team Leader)
Night Thrasher II (2nd in Command)
Rage
Penance
Maverick (paying Homage to his "brother" Bolt)
Namora (with Agents winding down, this Atlantean bombshell can't be allowed to fade into the background!)
Debrii
Nova (as a part-timer and a tide-changer)
Songbird (assuming she can't get the Thunderbolts back. To be totally honest, Songbird is one of those characters meant for greatness.)

Yeah, I meant it as a reason why Colossus could still be cool even though the Avengers already have tons of super-strong members, not as a reason why Beast wouldn't be good for the Avengers.

Just read Dark Wolverine.

I think Daken DID kill Norman. He stabbed him in the back with his two main claws at the top of his hand. Then he grabbed Norman's head and it looked like he stabbed him up through the bottom of his jaw with his third claw that comes out from the bottom of his wrist. And if you check the shadow behind them it clearly shows a claw coming out the top of his skull.

They'll show us how it was all a trick or something next issue. There is no way they are
killing Norman outside of the last issue of "Siege", or some kind of aftermath issue (a la Cap's death after "Civil War").

The ending was a possible future. The 3 Norn chicks we're like the Asgardian-version of the Greek's Sisters of Fate or so.

What the f***, the Norns were in Dark Wolverine? Goddamnit, now I'm almost kind of interested...

Ahh yea I remember now. They also claimed Daken will bring about a new Ragnarok if i remember correctly.
