The Dark Knight Silence of the Lambs = Joker's Escape??

I really really hope after joker stabbs her brooklyn style, he throws her off a 20 story building and start laughing like the homicidal maniac that he is. I also hope while she's falling in the air the joker shoots her just to make sure she's dead.

I never heard that phrase, 'stabs her Brooklyn style'. Interesting, I'll have to look that up.

I don't have it in for Rachel the way you seem to, but I certainly appreciate the Jokerish glee involved in shooting someone you've just thrown to their death. When asked why he shot a woman who was going to die in the fall anyway, Joker might say "Just couldn't stand the suspense." Audience laughs. Audience feels guilty about laughing. Audience wonders if Joker has judged them and found them guilty. Seems pretty perfect.

HAHAHAHHHAHAHAH that's funny as hell!!! man me and you should join forces and re-write the script or shadow of the bat or an hbo spawn like batman anime series with no holds barred joker maddness. That would be funny, sick and entertaining as hell!!!!!!!!!!!. stabs her brooklyn style is a term here in nyc they used to use back in the early ninetys, because people gotten stabb in brooklyn all the time, and when they did got stab it wasn't pretty.

Hey thanks, well your idea inspired me. It does seem like Rachel's gonna die here, I think Nolan wants to use the death of a known character to give the film some emotional depth. Joker might as well make a sick joke about it, right?

I have long felt that Batman should get the Deadwood treatment when Nolan's done making the series. An HBO-produced, all-out miniseries with a big budget. Like a 16-hour (or whatever) movie broken up into one-hour chunks, slogging through the muck, Sin-City decadence and grit of decaying Gotham. Get live-action Batman back on TV. Great minds think alike.

Oh man, I would watch that show!:batty: You guys should pitch that to HBO :woot: Does everyone think Rachel is going to die in this film? That would be a good way to show just what the Joker is all about, and if he does kill her, then yeah he should make a sick joke out of it, I would laugh way to hard if he used that "Just couldn't stand the suspense" line, then the Joker laugh, perfect.

That would be extremely bad ass, a miniseries would be spectacular, it should be dark, gritty, and they could get away with alot of things especially if it's targeted to adults. They could have alot of cameos and surprise characters, e.g. dr. freeze before he becomes freeze to keep it on the realistic realm, the riddler could be some serial killer who kills people like jigsaw from the saw movies, catwoman could be like a vigilante/thief, black mask could also be in the series, hell i don't have a problem if they show talia al ghul in the series as the new master of the leauge of shadows, this could definetly work out after the batman begins trilogy is finished. We see bruce wayne, continuesly training in the series, and bane could be like this really big bodyguard wrestler for the mob who uses steroids, in order to keep it grounded. I wouldn't mind seeing harlee quin or mad hatter. Mad hatter could be like this sick pedophile who kills children etc etc...... Dark, realistic and gritty treatment. Very nice...

Almost writes itself, don't it? Yeah, ALMOST. Now get to work!

Spoiler!!!!!!!!!!

Joker escapes while a herd of criminals are being stuffed into a cell, and one of them has a bomb inside his stomach. The guy goes boom! All hell breaks loose. The Joker escapes, along with some other criminals. The END.

Next question please.

Not me, my uncle was a police sergeant. Joker simply would not remain in police custody without processing, it's standard procedure. One of the first things they do is take your picture. Makeup OFF. Anything else rings false, and would hurt the movie.

Of course, Nolan and crew have an advantage over the guy who started this thread: Paid advisors who correct such mistakes.

<-------works for police department, and while it is routine to remove anything they could use to potentially hurt us or themselves, removing makeup isn't something we do here, if they want to wash it off there is a sink in their cell.

I would like to see them do something like that for hbo, but picture them bringing The Long halloween or Dark Victory as the premise for the show.

Even if the makeup covers the face?

Its kind of a small town never arrested someone with that much makeup on.

We're not talking about a little eyeliner here. What the Joker wears is essentially a mask, a disguise. It inhibits identification.

Some departments might choose to be thorough, and take before and after makeup-removal pics, but department policy in places I know of (don't know about yours) demand that the face be plainly seen when taking a mug shot. They would routinely remove, for example, sunglasses. They certainly would remove the clown masks used in the Joker's bank robbery, otherwise the mug shots would be pretty pointless! And they would remove the Joker's 'clown mask' makeup, or at least they would if they wanted to be able to identify him from their photos.

Sorry to hear about your bubblegum shortage.

That would be crazy good if HBO did "The Long Halloween" or "Dark Victory" as the premise, I would go crazy if that actually ever made it on air, it would be a dream come true for a Batman TV series. :batty:

i've had just about enough of people saying joker needs to be like hannibal.
he's not hannibal, he's joker.

Speaking from personal experience, I had a little blood on my forehead (my own) and the police made me wash it clean before taking my photo.

(If you really need to know: it was a drunk in public years ago when I was an amateur during a big festival down here meaning detox was already at capacity when I got caught so I had to go jail, the reason I was bleeding was the reason the cops nabbed...I tripped over my own feet)

I love your sig, where is that from?

BATMAN: BROKEN CITY HC, Which includes all the story arcs of Broken City. It's extremely bad ass book, and Batman has no mercy on the criminals, if you haven't check it out you should. I also see how the dark knight can compare to broken city, as for gotham being destroy and according to bale, this is going to be the most ruthless batman ever seen on screen.

It is a great sig. I've heard about Broken City, highly regarded among those who have read it. Not nearly as well known as The Dark Knight Returns, obviously.

If we are to continue in the newly-established tradition of not naming Batman movies in such an on-the-nose way, I think 'Broken City' would be a fabulous title for that HBO Batman series we talked about.

Yea, that would definetly be bad ass, a live action "Broken City" high budget mini series. It would definetly show the audience that batman is fighting a never ending war of a ever lasting battle. Each episode should have alot of action, and substance to me, those are the elements that makes a movie great, great substance, with entertaining action. I hope the dark knight raises the stakes in terms of action.

broken city was a good read. i liked it.
the "cooking a steak" scene is the one that most sticks out in my head.

I don't know if we 'really needed' to know those details, but it is awfully good (and brave) of you to share them!
