It says here that they're also courting Sean Bean to return as Harry. I believe his name was Christopher-something in the last one. Do you think this means he'll adopt the secret identity like in the game? (Am I remembering that correctly?) Either way, I hope he comes back.

But he wasn't Harry....and they both disapperead at the end of the first Silent Hill, unlike the game where Cult God died and Cheryl was reborn again as a new baby for Harry. I'm really looking forward to this, and that picture is great. But the story has got to work.

I know he wasn't Harry in the first. What I mean is he could change his name to Harry Mason in some vain attempt to "hide from" Silent Hill or the authorities. I don't know exactly how they'll work it out, but if they really bring Sean Bean back, they are going to do something to that extent.

im a huge fan of the first film... (not the video games)...
its a shame the director of the first one isnt back, i think what he did with it was very good and actually scary, which is more than i can say for every horror film now.

Horror films are dead now.. i think they release one horror film every 6 months and there crap. We got lucky with Paranormal activity and The Orphan.. but thats still looong ago. I think horror is struggling to adapt to the post-slasher/asian remake/torture era...

btw does this have any connection to the first film?

I saw a recent blog video from Canadian singer Anny Cyzon saying that she just got done auditioning for a part for the next Silent Hill movie. She said the part requires her

being tied to a bed topless and she is dying and she gets transformed into a mannequin. So it sounds like this movie is gonna be a hard R if there is gonna be boobage shown :P

I'm usually not a stickler for ratings, but if there's one franchise that MUST be R, it's Silent Hill.

As much as I liked the third game in the series, it only ever really worked because of the first, and we all know that they changed around the pieces of that storyline in the first film so much it barely resembled it anymore.

All they need to do is take the second game's storyline and put it on celluloid. They really wouldn't have to change a thing. It's a perfectly cinematic story.

just curious how they're going to do this, is it linked to the first if so how did she and here mum get out of the alt world. is she going to be cheryl or sharon, are the cult back. are the still de silva or have they rectonned them in mason

i enjoyed the first but the more i think about it they made some extremely stupid mistakes on the plot changes

also why go straight to 3, its good but 2 has the best storyline or they playing the no male lead again.

The first one was okay, but I hated the excessive use of CG and how the monsters had no symbolic significance. I also thought the film in general lacked the overwhelming sense of claustrophobia that makes the games so damn terrifying.

If handled properly, Silent Hill has the potential to be a horror classic. So I'll keep my eyes on this.

Also, it's a minor thing, but if they bring back Pyramid Head, I'd like to see a more faithful depiction of the helmet (seven-sided instead of six).

They really should have done 2 before doing 3. 2 has one of the greatest stories of any game I've played. It could translate beautifully to film if done right.

Silent Hill 2 was a great game, indeed. But for some reason, SH3 was always my favorite, as was Heather my favorite character. So I'm elated to see her star in this one!

Original Silent Hill cast members Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger are back for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

They'll join newcomers Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington.

Writer-director Michael J. Bassett said: "It wouldn't be the same without some of the original Silent Hill cast. Sean, Radha and Deborah's return will certainly thrill fans of the franchise and compliment Revelations stars Adelaide and Kit."

Shooting has already begun up in Canada with The Hills Have Eyes director of photography Maxime Alexandre who says, "With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of Silent Hill than they ever dreamed possible. Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them."
