Horror Silent Hill

I never really thought it looked like he was actually raping those mannequins in the second one, despite that being a popular interpretation. His groin is nowhere near them in that infamous scene, and besides, how do you rape mannequins?

Considering he was seen doing it a few times. It's obviosu he was raping them:o You forgot the nurses.

And...how is it possible?

....have you...seen half the **** in SH?

I just played through the game a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the movie, and I only remember one scene where Pyramid Head was flinging the mannequins around; nothing with nurses...

So i saw this tonight and I thought it was good with some fantastic imagery and a great sense of atmosphere which these movies often lack, Gans is very good at this aspect IMO.

I thought Radha Mitchell did a good job in spite of some unrealistic writing for her character, but the ending (In which she again seemed unperturbed) made me wonder if there was meant to be a sequel, what was the deal ? (Ive never played the game.)

this movie had some amazing looking scenes
its just too bad that even though the deisgn wasnt conventional that the story had to be
i wonder if there are any fan edits of the movie out there

Every game is similar to that of Grand Theft Auto, pretty much in name only with each sequel despite a few linking concepts (in GTA, the crime, in Silent Hill, the town and darkness), and each game shows different characters trying to get out of the town and how much of a toll it's taking on them.

Last I heard there is going to be a sequel, Gans will not be involved and it will be a different character as Rhada hasn't signed on for a sequel, I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In terms of seeing what's happened to her character, however, they could release a short movie or a book or comic about how her character is dealing and how she's spread Silent Hill further.

I loved Rhada in the film, not only since she's a fellow Aussie, but she put in a great performance. But I don't mind if the sequel didn't focus on her character and introduced a new character, but do not focus on Sean Bean's character.

Sean Bean's role actually was smaller in the original draft of the film if memory serves correct and somewhere along the process the character became a central subplot.

I think Sean Bean's character would be great for the sequel. It could easily borrow the Silent Hill 2 plot and easily make for a much superior movie even though I really liked the first. Even if they move on to someone else, I'd like to see Sean Bean's character come back at some point.

Roger Avary Directing 'Silent Hill 2'?

Some pretty huge news has been hiding in an interview with author Brett Easton Ellis for nearly a month now over at Chuck Palahniuk.net. During the chat about The Informers, interviewer "Dennis" asks Ellis if Roger Avary is still attached to direct Glamorama. His reply is shocking. "He’s going to be shooting Silent Hill 2. As far as 'Glamorama', it’s just very hard to get the money to make it." It's never mentioned again, but that's enough to get me excited. Roger Avary wrote the first Silent Hill, Pulp Fiction and directed the awesome Rules of Attraction. This news couldn't be more exciting! Your thoughts? Where should they take the sequel if it ever gets off the ground?

I'm pretty happy about this, if it does indeed turn out to be true.

Didn't really like the first film, but I can see why fans of the game enjoyed it. I love the hell out of the game, it was one of the first 'PS1' games I ever bought and played (and ultimately completed, only difficulty being that f'n piano in the school). But I (personally) never really thought the film was such a faithful transfer of the game itself, which is why I always question people considering it to be the best video game adaption (so far) ever made.

I haven't tried any of the sequels yet (played a demo of 'Silent Hill 4: The Room', and I believe another demo of 'Silent Hill 3', but that was about it), so maybe that'll play into effect with this (potential) sequel. So... here's to hoping for the best to come.

Oh wow so is this a sequel to the original movie?

New Silent Hill Movie Update Shared By Director.

The script for a new Silent Hill movie that is totally independent from the two previous movies made and respects the way Silent Hill has evolved. Most of the time, these are stand-alone stories. Silent Hill is a bit like Twilight Zone, the Fourth Dimension, a place where anything and everything can happen. I worked on a new Silent Hill which is a Silent Hill of the year 2023 since the film would be released next year, in 2023, and not a Silent Hill as I imagined it in 2006. It is a Silent Hill for today's audiences while being ultra respectful of the saga. I am aware that Silent Hill is a very great video game franchise and a work of art in the noble sense of the term.

Never played the games, but I dug the first film when I was 10 in 2006. The visuals, score and atmosphere were great!

Don’t know if the story was as good, but I plan on watching it again.

I could barely remember the story, but I remember enough not to watch it at night.

I really liked the original film and how it captured the mood of the games, so Gans coming back to adapt another one has me excited.
