Horror Reboot ‘Return To Silent Hill’ Casts Its Two Lead Actors – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Hannah Emily Anderson (Jigsaw) will lead horror reboot Return To Silent Hill.

Filming is due to get underway next month in Germany and Eastern Europe on the project which will mark a return for the original Silent Hill director Christophe Gans.

Written by Gans, Sandra Vo-Anh (who collaborated with Gans on Beauty and the Beast) and William Josef Schneider, the movie is based on Silent Hill 2, the second and most popular game in Konami’s hit video game series.

Need to watch the first movie again it's been years.

The first one's genuinely great, despite changes to the backstory. It was one of the first video game movies to ever capture the tone of the source material. Having the composer of the games involved to remake songs for it helped big time.

The second movie, which was under a different director, was ass. It was chock-full of jump scares and told a butchered version of Silent Hill 3's story and barely kept continuity with the first movie.

With Ganes back doing this, I have hope.
