Smallville panel at SDCC

This is not meant to be a provocative question but if Doomsday is a human who has black out periods where he does things requiring great strength why does he remind me even more of the Hulk then Doomsday did.

actually someone over at ksite i believe said they went to the xbox thing which is only 30secs compared to about 2 mins for season 8 preview along wit ha few mins behand of past season clips. And the xbox thing was just some season 7 clips.

WOW that really rocked

seems like sesaon will be full of big action full DC comic book storylines and more superman mythology
Something to keep in mind is, I believe it was stated before the footage rolled that it was a sneak peek at footage from the first two episodes. And they did say, in response to questions about where certain storylines in the season might go, that they're only up to writing episode 5. So... just be aware. This is not exactly a look at the season at large.

i must say that footage of davis bloome ate the end of trailer was impressive

sawm wither seems like a good actor

I will not judge him by one sinister glare. he has to do two completely different things by being an ordinary paramedic and this Its going to stretch him.:cwink:

few point-

1. clark is probably getting beaten up by those guys with whome he works on a boat maybe clark finds out that those people work illegaly and he wants out

2. Clark will have his memory and powers back by end of odeyssey

3. the S sheld clark is holding is it from Zod or from this seseaon ????

that bit at the end of the promo was more then likely the scene from zod because the trailer did intersect some past season stuff in there too.

The shot of the medallion was from "Zod." The section of preview footage for season 8 was sprinkled with shots from previous episodes, including the destruction of Brainiac and the fall of the Fortress from "Arctic."

The Smallville Panel on the Marketplace is not as good as last year. At least the full panel was there

better view of comic con bag:

I got one of those bags on eBay... good price too for buy it now.

I didn't realize it was that big, until I saw a pic of someone holding one online.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it...

LOL!

:D

Groceries! :D

Yeah, they are huge. I was surprised not to see anyone carrying around their kids in them like kangaroos. Would've possibly made walking easier without all those damn strollers.

If I filled that thing with groceries I wouldn't be able to walk...

LOL!

:D

As for the kids: I heard a baby crying in one of the panel vids, that's crazy... leave the damn kids at home with grandma.

What are those people thinking? If I went to convention, I wouldn't want to take my kids with me.

What I like about the bag is that they introduce two of the Daily Planet long time reporters that will be working with Lois and Clark in the Future and that is Ron Troupe an John K McGuiness. About MacGuiness I dont know much but he actually is a fictional journalist created by CJBeppo of the Ezra prophesies, and is named for DC artist Ed McGuiness.

There were TONS of people with kids. It was almost as bad as Vegas.

what would a kid get out of going to a con?

I mean, it's like taking a little kid to Disneyland: you still have to pay admission, but if they're too young to remember it, what's the freaking point of going to the expense?

My husband took our youngest to Disneyland when she was 4. It turned out to be a mistake.

She was just too little.

She got tired after only a few hours and got cranky, making it a nightmare.

The joy she felt early on at being there and seeing Mickey Mouse wasn't worth the hassle and expense and she didn't remember one bit of it later.

I would imagine it would be similar for a con...

Yeah. Heck, even I find it a challenge to keep getting joy out of it. It's tons of walking, avoiding people who aren't paying attention to where they're going or what they're doing, looking at booths of merch or promos. The most I see in it for the kids are seeing people dressed up as their heroes, and maybe getting some toys, depending. And even then, that's not much.

I can see maybe taking my daughter, now 13 and a huge Jenson Ackles/Supernatural fan, but I imagine she'd be bored with going to a con that had much of anything not related to that show or her anime fangirling.

I did too! I have no clue what I'll do with it, probably just add it to my pile of "stuff." [/carlin]

Interesting information, smsvmos. I had no idea that the reporter names were significant. Cool. :word:

Someone also mentioned that Ron Troupe marries Lois' sister Lucy. Just another tidbit.

good ole Ron Troupe, in the old comics he was having an affair with Lucy and he always used to go after some racist supervillain, I think it was like Bloodfeud or Bloodsport or somthing was his name. Then recently they had him married to Lucy. I guess the cheating thing was too risque for DC Comics or something
