With regards to box office, it fell 59 per cent overseas, not 68 per cent as in the USA.

Also, remember X3 fell 68 per cent or thereabouts without something like Star Trek coming along. So for Wolverine to fall 68 (or 59) per cent with Star Trek isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things.

Those of you who hate the film can go right ahead. But trying to use these box office figures to justify your hate as being a pandemic of negativity (sort of like swine flu) is futile. Are you so insecure that you need box office figures to validate your opinion?

It's called an opinion, learn to accept it. No one is insecure about anything so you can stop trying to insult people with your remarks.

Here's a report on the international numbers from Variety. $29.7m for Wolverine, $35.5m for Star Trek. Admittedly, Star Tek had a more limited opening. Wolverine is now above $250m worldwide.

Fox said it was encouraged that the actioner declined by 50% to 60% against "Star Trek" openings, asserting that the holds demonstrate "Wolverine" has playability and positive word-of-mouth.

"Wolverine" has cumed $123.7 million overseas, or $16 million short of the final foreign cume for 2000's "X-Men." "X2: X-Men United" took in $192 million internationally in 2003 and "X-Men: the Last Stand" cumed $224 million outside the United States in 2006

Those numbers don't seem so bad to me. It's already close to X-1s final international gross.

It's made over 250 million WW already, not bad at all IMO. And Fox does the majority of it's international distribution itself don't it?

But yea, Transformers was a cinematic master piece with really interesting characters and touching relationships between them.






But I don't care what anyone says, the characters in this did get development. Maybe some of them not enough, for sure. But when people say there was no character development what-so-ever I just gotta laugh at them.

I mean, movie Blob had more depth than comic book Blob

No they don't. International distribution is handled by other companies. Fox's only true profits come from the domestic BO. The profits from DVD sales goes to the Home Entertainment Division.

Fox does it's own distribution internationally... And that's why you normally see the international release dates in sites of Fox movies, 'cause they don't depend on local companies buying the movies for distribution...

I think she's being pedantic. International distribution is mostly handled by local companies which are part of the News Corporation group. Many of them have "Fox" in the name but they are separate entities. If the "Fox" that made the film receives no benefit from international distribution, that's just creative accounting.
