You're defensiveness about this movie is getting over the top.

Stewart is just plain looking, especially with that dark hair. She's no where near ugly and she's no where near stunning. That's it.

She is also not as hot as Charlieze which the Mirror is stating & I challenge that claim you stupid Mirror

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. Universal is marketing this film perfectly, giving that epic Lord of the Rings vibe but emphasizing the story elements too. And that Greig Fraser has a definite eye for gorgeous visuals -- every scene looks gorgeous.

James Newton Howard better bring his A-game to this movie, like he did with The Hunger Games.

That is a great spot. And I agree with you, mclay18, Universal is really doing right by this movie. It has the potential to be one of the better reimaginings, and I will definitely be seeing it.

I think they are trying to play up Theron and Hemsworth more because Stewart is currently associated with a "girl" franchise that men hate and they want boys (as well as girls) to be interested in the film.

Nobody in the movie is a box office draw anyway, especially Theron, so it doesn't matter who they focus on.

And I agree with Project, no matter who was playing the title role, playing up the queen is a good idea because it looks like the fun over the top role in the film. I'm not saying that they aren't trying to hide Stewart to a certain degree because they are but lately they have stopped trying to and I think that she is fine in the clips.

Panic Room and even Zathura were good performances. She was NOT playing an emo-chick in Zathura, she was the annoyed average teenaged girl older sister with two little brothers turning her life upside down. Welcome To The Rileys was another good performance from her.

I'm just annoyed because to me, the marketing people behind this film are buying into all the hate against her.

As a person who likes Twilight I can say that all of the performances in Twilight are either mediocre or bad (she was much better the last Twilight film, much more relaxed) so it is unfair to judge any of the actors based on that film series. Now some people in the series are bad actors but I've seen Stewart do well in other non Twilight related roles so I don't expect her to be terrible in Huntsman. Now I do wish she'd cut out the ticks though, because they piss me off.

The marketing people are being silly, if they do their jobs and the film is good to the general audience (I have nothing against critics but people tend not to care about their views when it comes to big films) then people will see it. I'm sure people were making fun of Keanu Reeves before Speed came out and after people saw it they liked it and Keanu's Bill and Ted persona died. He became a legit action hero and that led to The Matrix. If Stewart does a good job in the role and the film is liked she will be able to shake Bella Swan and be just fine.
