"So You Think You Can Mod?"--A Hype Reality Show!

I thought that was just obviously stated.....although I don't see a specific number of other members before.....I forgot to mention that I would give a a general warning to everyone who posted in the thread since they participated in a flame war.....
Why?

Just because you participate in a flame war, doesn't necessarily mean you are being belligerent, you can well be not be breaking any rules as long as your posts are within the rules.

I meant the "knock it off" kind of thing....not the "you are warned....blah blah blah"

EDIT: and I agree with what you said on the last part because obviously it would depend on the severity of the other posters words and actions....

So wait, there are 3 rounds plus a bonus.

Not for you it wouldn't.

oh well, i'm not a sore loser...

Is there a point scale or is it winner take all for each round.....

In talking with the other mods, I didn't think it would be prudent to award points to any of the contestants as this is not a tourney, but rather a problem-solving debate.

After the Bonus Round I am going to release a synopsis for each Scenario and how the problems should have been handled. You guys will be able to read that and gauge how you did.

Fair enough, and that makes sense.....

Just like standarized testing. You gotta give a point value system too like this answer is worth 400 this is 300 cause it was missing etc.

BONUS ROUND

After placing Hypester B on probation for breaking several Hype rules publicly, Hypester A (a user publicly known for disliking gay people), sends you another PM. It reads:

Hypester A said:
Dude,

Thanks for taking care of [Hypester B]. He was totally out of line! :cmad: By the way, I actually did send him the porn on PM. I was hoping that if he saw a man and woman ***king the way God intended, it might de-gay him. Oh well...I guess there's no hope for some of these fairy queens huh? :csad:

Thanks for being fair and not interferring with our PM conversations. I respect you for that man.

Contestants, how would you react, if at all, to the above?

reads 5 times before responding.

A personal message can not be used although he admitted his guilt,

I wouldn't even respond. opinion is what makes the hype what it is, but the guy would defiantly be on my Radar...

if he breaks the rules once, i will get him.

As far as a mod response, I would do nothing about it. He broke no rules, and pm's are non-admissable (even if he is admitting it to me).

However, as a man, I would pm him saying I have lost all respect I ever had for him.

Bah I screwed up.....I thought it would be if the poster sent something directly to a Mod....if that's the case then what the hell can you do if you can't use it in your judgement....It's like someone mooning you from the other side of the fence after they got over it..... so my previous statement in the last round would be thrown out......

I guess all you can do is tell them that you are not on "their" side, and that you can only go by the information in the forum itself and that PM's can not be used in your judgement, just as you can't use the information they had admitted to doing......BUT b/c they admitted this you give them fair warning that you will automatically banned them if they make one more crack about gays in the forum or if they receive similar complaints....as well take away their PM priviledges....
