She’s the one who really brought the anti-vax trend to the public mainstream bc he was the bigger star so people actually paid attention to her. He got brainwashed by her about it.

It was a fun movie. Much more time with Sonic which was the right choice, although I didn't mind the Hawaii scenes.

I really liked Elba as Knuckles.

I enjoyed the movie. I liked it more than the first.

That said anything involving the humans was awful. The wedding subplot with the sister was terrible and they drag it out so much.

It's like Michael Bay Transformers-lite/Alvin and the Chipmunks/Live-action Scooby-doo level humor.

I really want Sonic to leave Earth. Have it be like him going to school or college.

Im glad to see that kids are eating up the movie. Because lets face it...they're going to be the lifeblood for films going forward.

I can't believe these movies work the way they do but they. Loved the movie the dot, dot, gag had me dying Carrey is so good in these they don't work without him. The sister subplot was insufferable movie grinds to a hault when they cut to that. 8/10

The wedding stuff made me want to vomit. It's actually the animal characters who I was more invested in. Whenever they are onscreen and interacting the movie works. It's the human characters in these films who are annoying to watch.

I hope Carrey continues as Robotnik. Like maybe he semi-retires but continues playing Robotnik at least.

I wanted to clap when Sonic inhaled the air bubble. They actually utilized the gaming conventions in cool, natural ways that made sense.

I think Elba's casting as Knuckles was perfect. Momoa and The Rock wouldn't have been good fits for the character, considering they were trying to capture the Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles version of the character.

Took junior to see it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, easily as good as the first one. A few little bits dragged in the middle (the wedding bit felt stuck in there just to give Rachel something to do) but minor quibbles in the grand scheme of things. They managed to throw in a LOT of nods to the games and previous Sonic media, whilst still keeping it within the realms of the film's story - really smoothly done. Junior loved it, was punching the air at the end of the climatic battle. All in all definitely an 8.5/10 movie for me.

Ben Schwartz did a call back to his Parks a rec character loved that Elba voice work once again superb I too echo what Vile said hope Carrey continues to do these at least. Hes a big part of the success you can't recast Carrey.

Would nice to at least get a trilogy from him, if he doesn't return though I vote for Nicholas Cage.

There was a Donkey Kong Country animated series in the 1990s when the franchise was really hot. This was the result. They would have these musical numbers throughout the episodes.

Im excited to take my 7 and 3 year old to see this Saturday. The first was such a nice surprise and its crazy how I knew Jim Carrey as Lloyd christmas and ace ventura but now my kids Identify him as robotnic. Truly a multi generational talent that will be missed if he really is retired. Im also glad Hollywood has seemed to crack the code of making bad video game movies.
