Ugh. That Squirrel commercial was funny as hell. Nothing racist about it. This comin from a guy who lives in Bed Stuy Bk.

Theres nothing racist within any of these but its hilarious how alot of people take them out of their intended context. :o

I'm not easily provoked in these situations. These posters while not necessarily racist do have their toes the line. And the squirrel commercials were not even remotely funny.

Eh? Sure they were. They made me and my *****s laugh quite heartily.

"ID HIT THAT!!!"

It was so obvious they were pretending to be "hood" that it was hilarity!:up:

They're doing the exact same thing as the Sprite commercial that has the giant green sumo wrestler colliding with the giant yellow sumo wrestler to make "Limon", only everyone's hyper-sensitive to the point of neurosis these days.
The really dumb thing about the ads is that they also designed and produced the black ones but it looks like they're saying the black one (their own product) is weak/inferior.

I think that alone makes the ads dumb more than anything. :rolleyes:

It's a giant picture of a black person in a subservient position to a white person. Whether it was intentional or not, it's pretty easy to find racist undertones to it.

I think people prefer their ipods and psps in black. I remember at the Apple store how hard it was to get black ipods and they do look nicer than the white ones.

Black Power!!!!

Im not saying that it is. cos it isnt.as far as i know Its identical apart from the colour of the plastic. what Im sayiong is, that if some one wanted to read that into it, they could, simply based on the fact that some of the time some newer is a new and improved model
The fact that you have to work to read into a meaning that you don't get on your first or second impression means that the advertising was horribly done.

Are you gonna get the Mexi-PSP?

Only if it's ceramic brown and has like eagles and snakes. and two theater masks, One laughing and one crying with the slogan "smile now, cry later"

:confused::o:(:up:

If they were hell-bent on having a black model and a white model symbolizing the two different colors, they should've had two hot ones posing together, not have the white one holding the black one's chin like she's about to disembowel her.

the white one should've been french kissing the black one to symbolize the "linking" between the 2 units.

tee-hee I said units.

and by units I meant private parts.
private LADY parts!

You all have to stop and think. Sony is a Japanese company, the don't give a shart if its racist. It's all based on perception of the viewer, just like art, what's offensive to some may not be to another. And they're all doing what they want us to do, and that is to talk about it because next time we're all at Best Buy or something we're all gonna look for it, and yes, some people will buy it.

Whatever your opinion, it's clear that there's some kind of viral brain fever spreading amongst the ceo's of Japan, because while I KNOW that the ad was not intended to put forth a subtle anti-Black message, in this day and age of hyper-sensitive, PC ninnies, doing the ad was foolish.....as was pricing the PS3 at $600, and whoever the came up with the name "Wii".:confused:
