The Dark Knight Speaking of Nolan...

It's kind of like what happened in the LA riots, I suppose.

Yeah, I guess so. The only thing worse than a lot of people is a lot of angry people. :(

Don't ask me how I came across Dan Eldon's biography in the library. It was literally sitting in front of me on a shelf, and I picked it up.

I've been going through it and yeah, it seemed like Dan and a few other American photographers were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. US planes bombed a nearby house, the photographers saw something happen and went down to take photos (which is naturally what war photographers do). The shocked/mourning crowd saw them and I guess the overall rage of, "Americans bombed our people, and now here come American photographers to take pictures of it" took over. All but one of the photographers in that group were killed that day, and it was almost chance that one was spared.

ETA: Chris got involved with the group because he was best friends at the time with a childhood friend of Dan's. He had been to Kenya the year before and apparently loved it. (Said childhood friend and Dan later squabbled over a girl, but Chris apparently stayed out of all that.) He is described in the book as a "sensible chap." :oldrazz:

That's really awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I gotta admit, I find Chris very cute. Not as OMG HOT as his brother, but cute.

Mr.Nolan was a suave motherfu**er back in the day :o
