Spidey 3 is in Post-Production, that means they are doing all the spcial effects and fininshing up the film. That means this period they are working on Venom!

Does anyone think the movie will be done and we will see the fourth villain and Venom at the Comic-Con on July 22nd?

IMDB isn't very reliable. But they have been filming for a while so it's possible they are in post production now but there is no way it will be done by comic con. The movie is a year away because they'll need all that time to finish and perfect everything.

First off, you can't really trust IMDB on stuff like this, but I could totally believe that SM3 is in post-production. But that takes forever. Trust me, they will be working on this movie all the way up till a month or 2 before its release.

It most definetly is in post by now but this still includes pick up shots/reshooting , voice overs etc so the film is in its most important and time consuming stage, however during shooting other departments still work on the footage they have shot so it is very likely that if they are willing/ready they will have footage of venom/4th villain to show at comic con

Principal photography is probably done now but reshoots can go on up until a month or two before the film's release.

Usually big movies like spider-man go into pre-post production years before shooting..In the sense they want to see how the CGI will be and how to shoot it before actually shooting it. Remember Back for spider-man 2 they shot the train sequence before actual shooting and the same thing for spider-man 3.

Venom WILL NOT be shown at Comic-Con and SHOULD NOT IMO, atleast not in action.

Sandman will DEFINETLY be shown at Comic-Con in both forms, pictures and video. (hopefully.........in a clip...but I don't know)

GG2, I am not sure of. We've seen his costume, but if the costume we've seen is not the "Official" costume, we MAY see GG's official costume at Comic-Con.

I already knew that Spidey 3 was in post, BTW. And YES, it takes a HELL of a long time for post production....much longer than it should, unless you want to PERFECT the CGI, which Raimi and crew do want to do.

King Kong was in post-production for like 8 months. So yea, not sayin SM3 will have more or less work cut out for it than King Kong, but who knows how long it will be in post-production.

Well, we know we'll see something about Flint Marko/Sandman.

But, I just don't know about Harry Osborn/GG2 or Eddie Brock/Venom.

We COULD get a clip of Eddie and Peter, like in the first part of the movie. That'd kickass!

They've been in post while also being in production. That means, they've been editing as they've been filming. How else would they have had shots to include in the teaser trailer?

Anyway, they'll be finishing up this film just weeks before release.

The best we will get at Comi Con is some non CGI material or maybe some unfinshed stuff, and hopefully they will have like one mind bending scene done for us to get a sneek peek at.

I don't think we'll see Venom or (if there is a forth villain), I don't think we'll see either of those at Comic Con, but we might get confirmations on the forth villain, and Venom. I don't think we'll see Venom until like a month or two from its release. We'll probably get more Sandman and Green Goblin 2 at Comic Con.
