Sequels Spider-Man 4 and 5 Shooting At The Same Time?

Don't get your hopes up about a returning cast people. You are going to end up disappointed. Tobey's salary will probably be 35 million if that was the case... Dunst would be another 15 million at least... and if they bring back one they'll bring back both unless one of them asks for way too much $.

the venom storyline should of been done back2back, and im dissapointed that we could of had something great with the 2 films rather then all put into 1 movie

id hope for the clone saga for 4 and 5, as i don't want another story like spiderman 2's... oh know im losing my powers cus i don't want to be spiderman anymore :whatever:

I don't think they'd do that again.

I'm skeptical of this. They did that w/the Matrix & we got one movie I liked & one I'd like to forget.

If they use a new cast and still make it in the same continuity then they should bring back the supporting cast and go with Lizard/Kraven for SM4. For SM5, NO ****ING CARNAGE... I'd rather see Morbius or a clone story than Carnage. Something tells me that Sony will end up merging this script into one movie for budgetary reasons anyway. I mean they didn't do it for SM3/4... why start now when most of the arcs have already been closed?

Which reminds me. Even if they completley recast, I want the same continuity.

That's all well and good. Batman Forever did a good job in making me feel it was a sequel even though it was a totally new direction... its just that I don't see how you do two sequels back to back with different lead actors right off the bat. That's why I am skeptical.

I know what I do NOT want:

-CARNAGE. Ugh...seriously.
-Clones. Worst. Idea. Ever.
-Returning villians. Spidey's got enough villians to have a dozen or so movies without repeats.

Personally, I want "Kraven's Last Hunt" with the Lizard in the place of Vermin. Done. One great movie. Of course, if they did a film (part 4) where Peter and Gwen fell in love because MJ left town and moved on for a film, then Gwen were killed, that would be cool, too....then Peter and MJ could get married in part 5, and part 6 could be KLH. That's my humble opinion, though.

I'll take this with a large amount of a grain of salt given the source. Also, Sony wanted the next batch to be a trilogy, unless they are ditching the idea and trying to pull Maguire, Raimi and Dunst back for two more. Yet, I doubt it as I think Sam is burnt and Dunst has wanted out since after the first one.

With that said I'm intrigued as long as it's not about Carnage or the Sinister Six. If either of those come up, I lost interest. Now a combination of Lizard and KLH over two movies with the first ending with Spidey punching out of his "grave?"

That would kick ass on the other hand.

This is what should have been done with Spider-man 3. They should have taken out all of the unnessary scenes such as Peter dancing. Less MJ and more focus on Marko and Brock. It ends with Peter getting rid of the black suit and Brock gets it and becomes Venom. That would have been a great cliffhanger.

I may be in the minority here but I would love for Felicia Hardy/Black Cat to appear. It could be like this Felicia is introduced in 4 and becomes BC in 5.

Why bring back both? Dunst isn't worth the grief. If they swing to an all Gwen storyline, I'd be fine with it. Bring back Raimi and Tobey and don't go all "Pirates" on us thinking that crazy CGI and wild action is the way to go. There are so many great villains to play with that they need to stay focused. The Vulture was a great idea. Bring in Ben Kingsley like Raimi wanted and go to town.

This could go either way. It might be great, it might be a disaster.

Need I remind people of the Matrix and Pirates of the Caribbean?

So, have you guys got any idea on how this film(Spider-Man 4) will end? I'd personally like to see it end like 'No Country For Old Men' did, the villain defeats Spider-Man, gets away, the movie ends with a zoom shot into Spider-Man's eye or someone about to unmask him like a reporter or what-not.

Why doees everyone just assume Peter and Gwen should/COULD start dating. They already tried to and it was a disaster. Gwen obviously has a mad crush on peter and peter knows that he did bad, but seriously, it's not like all the sudden Gwen is going to think Peter is a nice guy again and not a jerk and just happily forget that he used her in his revenge plot.

and yes I think everyone is aware that filming two movies back to back works doesn't usually work. Plus if they didn't do it with three, why the heck would they do it now. But whatever, it's still at least some sort of news on the next spidey movie. I mean talk about a dry spell.

It's nice to know that they're listening to the audience with these next films. I've heard "it should've been two films" (in regards to Spidey 3) so often that it sounds like a broken record.

I need more news on this from other sources, before I can believe it. I'm hoping the part about James Vanderbilt handing in the first working draft is true. As I want Vanderbilt to be the new voice of Spider-Man 4, instead of the producers. I'm dying to know which villain(s) that he chose, if the main villain is THE LIZARD, it's off to a great start.

Remember, it has been said many times by Avi Arad and Sam Raimi that Sony looks at these films..."ONE MOVIE AT A TIME." So, I just don't believe the filming back-to-back part of this new tidbit.
