he had a few jokes

"Hey anti venom why so anti social"

just one that I remember of the top of my head.

I know he had some jokes, and the anti social line is a joke sure. But it's still so moody. I haven't heard a line from this game that wasn't all full of angst and angers.

I just want some dialog that is lighter in mood, that is all. Like I said I don't doubt it'll be there but I want some upbeat stuff.

Wait, Spidey makes corny jokes in this game? You mean... like he does in the comics? Shameful!

Yeah! I expected at least How I Met Your Mother quality comedy :( That's it, I'll never even look at a Spidey game anymore

I was sarcastic! :P

But yeah, HIMYM is damn funny IMO! :)

Hmmmmm I see.... and do other people feel the same way?

It's pretty popular here in Sweden at least I think. Or...among my friends at least. OK I have no idea :P

I've been reading Spidey comics for a long time, and I can't remember anytime i've ever laughed out loud at a one liner. That's his whole thing, that's part of his charm. None of his jokes are ever clever, they'er endearingly corny.

Here's an example of Spidey comic quotes

" Well, wobble my webs and call me shaky! It's Goldilocks -- the hippest hammer in the west"

"now don't get the feeling that I'm mad at you... It's just that I hate anybody to skip around town in a jazzier costume than mine"

"Whoa! I haven't seen this many villains, thugs, and lowlifes in one place since I watched C-Span's coverage of congress yesterday!"

Great! We're caught in the middle of a Super-Villain sandwich...

Oh mercy me, Mister Bad Man! Is that a thweat?

The real reason Jameson hates me... is because i'm black! ....................................... Kidding. Sorry. (This one's pretty funny :D)

So, what genious comedy show do you recommend us mortals?

Hahaha, hang on, just let me climb down from this ivory tower.... There we go.... now just step down using this high horse.... okay, i'm here. I just can't stand any comedy with a laugh track. Canned laughter sitcoms, I thought we'd moved past that.

Ah I see, well I agree that laugh tracks can be pretty annoying. What do you think about Scrubs then? :)

Yeah, I enjoyed it for a while but I think it ended up losing it's way... Too little character development, all the meaningful segments were too heavy handed and it became a little too silly for it's own good, made it hard to buy into the serious segments.

I actually pretty much agree with that. Just wondered because it's pretty much the only comedy show without laugh tracks that I'm aware of.

I think for any series, comedy or otherwise, to last for a decent amount of time, they need to give the characters the proper respect their due, for any show with an ongoing continuity anyway. I remember always getting pissed off in later series of X-Files, when Scully was still refusing to believe Mulder, even after all the crazy **** she'd seen. If you don't commit to your characters properly, and treat them like real people, people stop caring.

Ehhh, I'm no a big fan of Scrubs, lol. The comedy never really hit me like it did others, but hey, I guess everybody has a diferent taste in comedy, lol. I loved That 70's Show.

There are heaps of great comedy shows without laugh tracks.... 40 Rock, The Office, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name Is Earl, Flight of the Conchords, Bored to Death, Eastbound and Down... there are plenty of others, but with a list that big it's hard to think of them all on the spot :P
