I dont mind it. It helps keep them feeling individualistic and unique

Do you or anyone have pics of the Ben Reilly costume? Also how many will there be total? Also are all the costumes unlockable if you have a SD save?

All the costumes I've been linking too that are returning from SD will be unlocked right away if you have a SD save. Since it wasn't officially revealed like Big Time or Ultimate are, I doubt you could find a pic of Ben Reilly's costume until tomorrow.

There are a total of 25 costumes, including the DLC ones.

Picked up the game tonight at midnight along with the anarchy edition of RAGE, Spidey comes first though!!!:spidey::up: It's late and I can't pump up the volume of my 7.1 baby so I'll rest tonight and hit this sucker all day tomorrow, I can't wait!!!:awesome::up:

Holy hell, this game is actually pretty legit. The story is really fun and gripping. You actually feel like there is a lot at stake. The costumes are a nice touch. The Ben suit is for 2099. It looks REALLY cool.

The gameplay is basically like Shattered Dimensions, which no complaints here. Although I feel it doesn't control as well. Spider-Man feels like he has more weight this time around. The combat though is very fun and both Spider-Man have cool moves. I really like Amazing's quick dodge tactic. It's a lot of fun to use when fighting bad guys.

The voice actors nail their performances, honestly does that surprise anyone? These are the two definitive voices of Spider-Man in my book. Always a pleasure to hear them talking back and forth to one another.

The writing this time around is really top notch. Dialog is very intuitive. You won't be cringing like you were sometimes in Shattered Dimensions. Also, Keaton and Barnes really feed off each other in terms of performance. They're both witty and execute lines beautifully!

I know a few of you were worried about this taking place in one building. Don't. The levels are designed beautifully and you don't really get that same sense of "been here done that" feel. At least in my opinion. The cause and effect mechanic is brilliant and executed beautifully.

You play as one Spider-Man and just when you start getting comfortable and going through the motions, they switch it up on you. Also it's really fun to go running through the level and all of a sudden have something happen because of something in the past.

All in all, I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. And while it might not be the definitive Spider-Man game we're waiting for, I think this comes pretty damn close. Beenox's passion and enthusiasm obviously bleeds through with their attention to detail. Die hard fans will get a kick out of some of the newspapers.

I really hope Activision decides to extend their dev time. These are some talented people and I really think they could deliver a memorable experience if allotted the time.

Look forward to seeing who agrees and who doesn't. :)

Hope you all enjoy!

Funny, I was honestly asking myself that question right now! I'm still very early into the game. I would say though, and I'm very lenient, an 8.8 at the moment. A lot of reviewers mark games down for stuff they don't have rather than what they do have.

People will say that Edge of Time doesn't have great graphics. I personally find them to be aesthetically pleasing. I love Amazing's look! So yeah, overall an 8.8 at the moment. I feel like that could go up depending on the moves I unlock/where the story goes.

The game is incredibly fun though. I usually gauge my "fun" by time. Two hours flew by just like that while I was playing and it didn't even feel like it.

This game...is a form of time travel. :p

This game demands another update for the PS3? Sad
I hope I will enjoy it

Maybe I read your post wrong? I figured you were needing to update your PS3 and that you were doing it specifically for this game. Updates are always a pain and so time consuming. You then said that you hope to enjoy this game. I'm hoping I didn't hype the game based on my positive experience.

:D

I think that covers it.

No worries, I hold down my enthusiasm to make sure I won't regret playing this game, only ones I will annoy are those reviewers from that company
:awesome:

Nice review!

Have you completed the whole game? How did you feel about the lack of classic villains?

Seeing those first 30 min of the game and reading this, I take back what I said about 4 villains with only Anti-Venom being a 616 one as stupid. Sloan seems like a great villain and the story overal seems to be great!

Man I love Beenox even more now. Their love for Spider-Man really shines in a way that I've never felt before with any other developer (no, not even in the PSX ones).

I actually consider buying this game when I can afford it.

Now I feel less estranged and meh about the exclusive villain for this game, think it's a fine job they did

im still not very impressed with the villains in the game. The story sounds good, which is awesome... but the villains to me are kinda the pay-off for fighting herds of grunts... and i don't exactly feel like Slone, Black Cat, Anti-venom, and a conglomerate of (anti-venom, ock, and slone) make up for that pay-off

Didn't they make a complimentary job with boss fights in SD? I think boss fights here can be satisfying enough

The boss fights will be awesome! The Anti-Venom battle is one of the most epic boss battles I've seen tbh.

I may get this at an early time since I don't get many games a year, most games I play on the PS3 are loaned anyway

majority of the fun in a boss battle is always who the boss is. also... SD had MANY boss battles....

If the trade off for a great story which is what we've all been demanding is less villains I can live with it.Gameplay and story always come first.
