Eh i dont know about that. All of Segas failures have been movie based tie ins, just about ALL movie based tie ins fail. Activision doesnt care about anything but giving consumers a yearly release of their franchise. They dont care how poor the games get, just look at the Tony Hawk series.

Look at SEGA's Sonic series...:o

Tony Hawk=Sonic

Yea its the same thing. They feel that just cranking out game with sonic on them will net them the sales they need. Activision does the same thing, but with ALL of their franchises. But i was mainly talking about superhero titles. Segas stinkers (Iron Man, Iron Man 2 etc) are movie tie ins. Activision cant claim that with Spidey. There is NO reason why Activision shouldnt give a dev 2 years with Spidey.

Your right. I didn't say they were right to give a yearly release for every freaking thing. I hate it too. At this point, the only way to get a great Spider-Man game is to take the winning formula's from each Spider-Man and mesh them together. Nothing original could possibly come from it for it to be good.

:awesome:

My first guess for the new game was the movie game "The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game " but since the writer for spiderman 2099 is aboard for this game and Josh voicing spidey in the new game my guess is that the new game would be Spider-Man 2099, plus Beenox was interested in making a full game based off either noir or 2099 as they mentioned last year.

That's very true, yearly titles can easily cause a person to grow tired of the series if its not bringing that much new stuff to the table. Given alot of input that posters have offered as far as what they want in a new Spider-Man game would make a great game as a whole. If a developer is given only a year to make a game, that means they have to use what's already been set up previously to try and craft something new which results in a mediocre game.

Man, I hope we get some new info soon. Saturday seems so far away! :(

Breaking News: Shocker now confirmed in next Spider-Man game!(Not really confirmed but he's been in every other Spidey game, so I'm just assuming).

... every major villain has been in "every other game" (if you count the movie games too)

Big news hitting HeroHQ this week... Care to take a guess at what it is? ;)

Key words are this week...not this weekend.....YES!!!!! Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but....YES!!

Makes sense. Like others have said, they released the SD trailer before the WonderCon panel.

The panel is Saturday, April 2nd.

Last year, the panel for SD was the same day.

Last year, the SD trailer + interview landed on the 30th.

I say the trailer lands tomorrow.

:awesome: I should be on CSI

Sorry, I don't sign up for a job on a website who's start button reads:

"I WANNA B ON CSI"

I should be a comedian, too...or an English teacher.

lol, and I bet ya some jackass out there actually tried using those guys.

"hey, um.......I WANNA B ON CSI" :awesome:

I'm talking about access to Peter's apartment. Yeah it may seem like a small thing, and it was in Spider-Man 2 and 3 (I dunno about WoS)
In that turd you can't make Spider-Man go between walls, other than prison, Rykers, one story mission, control Rhino and he obeys willingly, no questions asked

I wish they would listen to our requests.
Who doesn't?

That's why Activisions only games are Call of Duty, Spider-Man and DJ Hero...
I like Tenchu

Not to mention that if Disney does take it away from Activision, there's a strong chance it may go to SEGA, the greater of two evils.
Iron Man sucks, Thor stinks
Only good Marvel game they released is IH for the NDS

He wasn't in either versions of 3, FoF, nor WoT (main version)
Rhino was in 5 games in a row

Including Friend or Foe?

Including Friend or Foe?

sure... why not?

after thinking about it....most. excluding his top 2 (ock and GG) have all been used multiple times though we've never had a classic goblin in anything but the movie-verse (including friend or foe)

so including movies (N64/PS1 to present consoles):
-doc ock
-green goblin
-hobgoblin (if you want to count SD)
-venom
-electro
-sandman
-kraven
-calypso
-lizard
-mysterio
-rhino
-shocker
-vulture
-morbius
-kingpin
-juggernaut
-carnage
-scorpion
-black cat
-hammer head
-Prowler
-Beetle
-Silversable
-Shriek
-Chtylok (web of shadows PS2)
-Jackal (WoS PS2)
-Spider-woman (web of shadows PS2)

have all been used in a video game so far... though some of these once... pretty much everyone short of Man-Wolf, Tarantula, Demogoblin, Jackal, Spot, Jack-o-lantern, etc... have been "fightable, playable, or assisting ally" in a spider-man game over the least 11 years... but, ignoring the movies, friend or foe, and alternate universes.... only a small handful of these have ever been used... adding to that, some havent been used for around a decade. below are the amounts of times a "616" known spider-man villain has been used as a boss

those are..

-doc ock 1x (spider-man n64-ps)
-green goblin 0x
-hobgoblin 0x
-venom 2x (spider-man n64-ps/WoS)
-electro 2x (enter electro/Wos)
-sandman 2x (enter electro/SD)
-kraven 2x (WoS (ps2)/SD)
-calypso 0x
-lizard 2x (spider-man n64-ps/enter electro)
-mysterio 3x (Spider-man n64-ps/WoS(ps2)/SD)
-rhino 2x (Spider-man n64-ps/WoS)
-shocker 2x (enter electro/WoS(ps2))
-vulture 1x (WoS)
-morbius 0x
-kingpin 0x
-juggernaut 1x (SD)
-carnage 1x(spider-man n64-ps)
-scorpion 1x (spider-man n64-ps)
-hammer head 0x
-Beetle 0x
-Shriek 0x

this means..... it's about time imo mysterio sits this one out... and also... do to all the non 616 games.... i say it's time the symbiotes, scorpion, rhino, and shocker all sit this next game out too

I don't think i've ever been in a Marvel video game thread that didn't feature a Spidey-Boy_1111 list of Spider-Man characters.

I wouldn't mind Shocker. He was fun in the movie games and haven't been in a major game for a while.

Me neither. He's awesome and easy to fit into nearly any story.

Yeah people complain to much about Shocker being in every game. Counting out WoS for PS2 (since nobody played that thing) he hasn't been seen since 2005. Besides, as stated, he is awesome.

As long as Octavious or Osborn is the primary villain, i dont care who else shows up.

Yes we do...although, the more I think about it, the more this game is starting to look like a 2099 game. The only thing that makes me wonder is Josh Keaton. But Beenox said they wouldn't mind making a 2099 game, Spidey 2099 was on the front of the freaking line-up on the game cover and Peter David is on board.

:csad: If it's 2099, this game just went from a low possibility rental.

Beenox has... RECOGNIZABLE TALENT?! :wow:

From Twitter:

Welcome to Brant Nicholas, our new Executive Producer, coming from Guerrilla Games! Welcome in Quebec City Brant!

Wow. That actually makes me feel good. Guerrilla Games is big!

For those who don't know: Guerrilla Games are behind all 3 Killzone games.
