Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

If Venom if part of the MCU, then all Marvel movies could be then. Everything is canon, it just happened in alternate realities?
No, no. That's just too convoluted.

I like how he rejected Tony's Iron-Spider suit at the end of Homecoming but now he's wearing it and fighting regular crime with it. I don't mind but I find it funny.

I liked Hardy as Venom quite a bit, and I look forward to seeing him and Harrelson square off in that sequel. Venom's film had issues, but Hardy I do think made it enjoyable with his performance.

I think this Multiverse angle is a good way for Marvel and Sony to have their cake and eat it too. Holland can be in both universes while they don't actively conflict with each other. Best of both worlds.

I like how he rejected being in the Avengers in Homecoming but in the next movie (IW) he's all about that life again :o

Did not care for the trailer. It looks like it’s doubling down on everything I don’t like about MCU’s Spider-Man.

Multiverse is definitely interesting, though. I guess that’s how they explain Reynolds Deadpool coming into the MCU.

To be fair he just showed up to fight the aliens that was attacking New York and accidentally ended up in space where Tony officially made him an Avenger anyway. I guess it was inevitable for him to become one so he just rolled with it.

I don't know if I want Mysterio being a good guy in this. Though he likely turns at the end.

Wouldnt shock me if multiverse is real and mysterio is using it and his knowledge to have shield work for him while he's got something else going on. Be pretty cool if he is from another earth and that earth had tobey maguire as spiderman.

Not fond of the whole MJ knowing he is spider-man because "its obvious". yeah i get its funny but why does he even have a secret identity anymore?

Oh yeah, I forgot about him. Hell, throw in Pikachu in there while you're at it :hehe:

Crazy they released tickets a whole two months ahead. I don't see Preview night tickets released though.

There slowly moving away from that trope like most mcu films so far have done. Once he's out of high school they can ditch that picked on nerd gimmick

Maybe something really obvious happens in the movie to make her fully believe.

This. I think that's what they're doing. I rolled my eyes at the multiverse thing -- not a fan of them introducing that in a Spider-Man film.

But why is Mysterio of all people from a multiverse? is it just an excuse to acknowledge the concept?

To be fair Spider-Man usually is the one dealing with multi universe type ****, even moreso than the X-Men.

Deadpool, Fantastic Four, X-men. Although the last two won't be the Fox versions. It'll just be how they explain why mutants didn't show up until now.

If you want, you could also say the Netflix and Hulu shows are also multiverse which is why they haven't shown up in the films.

It's Mysterio. I am not taking anything he says at face value. There is more to this going on.

Maybe on that earth his got magic instead of dr strange? The powers and look appear to be similar.

I still don't think he has any real powers. It's all going to be sleight of hand somehow. It's Mysterio, after all.

I have a feeling his tech will be like what vulture had but hes still a normal guy at the end of the day. Looking at his costume though is it the gloves that draw power? Or the fish bowl?

I would agree he appears to have a suit that simulates powers, but that he actually has none.
