Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

I don't see May just casually not having any thoughts or emotions, for a man she been with for so long, why Peter couldn't have done something, to prevent his death...he was right there; and apparently, his death occured fairly recently, given the conversation between Peter & Ned...as well as the fact, Pete already feel guilty, stating, "Aunt May will kill him if she knew" he was Spidey....I think that's the reason why!

We need to find a more mysterious reason for why his aunt would kill him if she knew he was Spider-Man than because he's a fifteen-year-old who goes out fighting criminals every night?

Ben could get a mention in natural dialogue, even if its subtle. id argue there have been plenty of ways they could have done it.

Chances are they don't want to though.
They have, in a way. You can assume it was him Peter was referring to back in Civil War when he said: "When you can do the things that I can, and you don't, and then the bad things happen... they happen because of you."

And imo it would be utterly moronic to cut out the Uncle Ben character completely from the MCU. He's a key part of Spider-Man's origin and philosophy for a reason. Then again, they're doing what they're doing with "Michelle" so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even exist in the MCU.

He exist; just think they have their reasons for shying away from the character, other than the subtle ways of conveying his past presence, in their lives.

The site I found these on said they were Chinese....not sure if they are real or not....

There are a bunch more....does anyone want to see them?

The Spidey poses all appeared in promotional art for Homecoming so I'm fairly skeptical.

l'l be shocked if Uncle ben is even a thing in this series tbh.

I think there's a significant though still not likely chance he cold appear in the third film in including an adaptation of "Spider-Man No More!" The filmmakers could think by that enough time has passed since the origin movies and SM2 (and it wouldn't be done exactly like that previous adaptation) so here's a reward to the longtime fans and getting more dramatic and making the third film seem both more of an event and more conclusive (but not too conclusive).

I would love if Steve Buscemi did play him, he could make a younger, contemporary of Tomei version of Uncle Ben work and include a lot of the character aspects even in not a lot of screentime.

Edit: Although trying to adapt that story would necessarily be pretty different if not weird and a bad idea with Ned and May already knowing that Peter is Spider-Man. With May finding out and Iron Man being a mentor (and giving new suits) it's worth considering if other aspects of the JMS run may also be adapted.

Honestly, I'd love if we saw Ben in FFH through Mysterio putting Peter through more psychological challenges. Somewhat reminiscent of what SSM did with the symbiote removal episode.

That's a good idea.

Who would be a good pick for Uncle Ben? Maybe Mickey Rourke! Bring back The Wrestler crew!

I am stoked for the first trailer. I think seeing Spidey in an international setting will be so cool and unique on film! Did anyone see Tom Holland’s awesome pool flip? That was so bad ass

Well, wasn't Sony's plan for Sinister Six to have Spidey fighting the SS in London? :o

@DanielRPK: Also don't forget we should be getting the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home and a new trailer for Shazam by the endow next week ;)

Mysterio Will Be Seen As The Hero In Spider-Man: Far From Home

Idk if anyone's seen this. Take it with a grain of salt, obviously.

Knowing how they are lately always trying to avoid the "villain problem" that sounds like an interesting idea.

Also Mysterio trying to make himself look like the hero is very in line with his character. Maybe the water "elemental" is Hydro-Man.

Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, Spider-Man.... this week?

Villains/creatures who harness powers with the elements of earth, wind, fire and water (might have one wrong) will be dispersed throughout Europe. Mysterio fights off and saves the day from these elemental creatures to look like a hero to the public.
Cool. I bet the earth villain will be Sandman.

Actually, this would be the perfect opportunity to use some of Spider-Man's zaniest villains, like Electro or Swarm.

Forgot about one bigger reveal. Happy Hogan and Aunt May become a thing! Which adds a lot of comedy bits with Peter feeling super uncomfortable about it.
Um. What. And why.
