Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Ha, so the Happy and Aunt May thing was real. Not sure how to feel about it. :hehe:

What if Spider-Man was born in Gotham? He looks great.

EDIT: Here's a more detailed description of the trailer/footage:
It starts with Aunt May and Happy on some events with Peter as Spider-man. Then, shows Peter going to Europe on a school trip, without the civil war suit by the way. After some shots of him with his friends in Venice, Nick Fury shoots Ned with a dart for him to fall asleep as he talks to Peter for the first time. He is recruiting Peter and Mysterio, that will play a hero role at the beginning of the movie, fighting some “elemental creatures” that are huge monsters, looking a lot like Raimi’s big Sandman, with sand water and lava monsters. According to the cast, there is a wind one too. Mysterio shows up without his fishbowl and with a beard, fighting the monsters on Venice (with spells that look a lot with Doctor Strange ones but green), and then with the fishbowl fighting then again. Some shots of Spidey’s stealth suit, the red and black one with those “wings” under his arms, and Peter Parker with his regular clothes fighting the monsters on London and it ended

So we're getting
basically personality-less versions of Sandman, Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and maybe Cyclone? And a bunch of CGI monsters? I don't know about any of that from just reading it. The Mysterio stuff sounds like it could be different in a good way, though- I don't trust Beck!

Isn't he going to leave fingerprints all over the place with those fingerless gloves? Crime scene analysts will be able to tell who Spider-Man is easily.

I believe that unless you committed a crime before or voluntarily gave your fingerprints for any other reason, they will not be on record.

This sounds awesome and Spidey and Mysterio teaming up is unexpected and cool imo. I'm looking forward to how Holland and Gyllenhaal interact in this film.

Fury is recruiting Peter and Beck or Spider-Man and Mysterio?
Hope for the latter, let Mysterio try and find out on his own.

So, just to be clear, we're not getting the trailer today anymore?

I don't mind waiting, but I just wasn't sure what was up.

I love this stealth suit though. And about the finger tips... Spider-Man has little hairs/whatever on his fingers, I’m sure that screws up prints enough to hide him.

His prints also only matter if he's been fingerprinted, which he probably hasn't. I never got printed until I was 24 and I started substitute teaching as a side job.

So if Mysterio is using spells that look like Dr. Strange's spells, does that mean that he knows of the existence of sorcerers? I know this is an irrelevant detail but I'm kind of curious.

Who knows. Maybe Beck will become his next father figure after Tony dies. :o

He probably is aware. Other descriptions have described him emitting green mist from his hands, so who knows?

As a lifelong Spider-Man fan, this MCU Spider-Man just isn't for me. It just saddens me. There just is not anything that interests me in anything I've read or seen from "Far From Home" and I really disliked and was underwhelmed by "Homecoming ". Wish it wasn't the case, but it is.

The footage description sounds nice, but it seems they are just gonna show Spidey back alive and well, without any explanation. The last time we saw him, he dusted away.

I know Marvel won't show in any of Endgame's trailers how they bring the dusted back, but shouldn't we get some.. narration or anything to prepare us for how casually he will be shown in the FFH's trailers?

How will the GA (who are much less into the MCU than us the fans) react to this? Those who don't know FFH starts minutes after Endgame's ending, will be really confused and might even think it's set before IW.

It’s disappointing we aren’t getting the trailer for another week but wish they would at least release an official picture of Mysterio.

I think they'll be fine. Some will wonder, Endgame will come out, people will get to.

I'm starting to feel that way. I enjoyed Homecoming but it wasn't a Spider-Man movie and I don't like the constant changes they're making

Not sure how to feel about Happy and May becoming an item.. I guess I'll wait to see how they pull it off.

Mysterio is obviously faking his powers/abilities and likely causing all the monster problems in the first place.

Still, not crazy about that trailer description.

You're fingerprinted at the airport though whenever you travel anywhere. And since he would be travelling to Europe and then back into the States, they'd have a record of his prints. They do a retinal scan too as standard procedure.

May and Happy being a thing is worse than Natasha and Bruce (I just wasn't a fan of that.)

I was never fingerprinted whenever I flew, and I flew a good number of times before I had to be fingerprinted for the subbing gig. Those we're all domestic flights though. But fingerprints aren't required to get a US passport, so unless this is a new rule, I don't think that's true.

What? I’ve traveled between the States and Europe several times and have never had to do a retinal scan or fingerprint scan. That’s not standard practice, it’s all facial recognition to see if you match your passport photo.

They fingerprint non-US citizens every time they enter the US and do some scan which has a red light. If you wear glasses they ask you to remove them so it can see your eyes properly.

Maybe they don't do it for US citizens but certainly for non-US citizens.

I've travelled to the US dozens of times and this always happens, which is why there's such a long line and takes forever for non-Americans to get out of the airport.

It depends on which country. In Japan all foreigners will be fingerprinted and head shot taken at the immigration check. In EU, no.

If you use one of those fingerprint security devices like iPhone I’m afraid the print record will already to stored somewhere you don’t have to do the crime though that sounds more exciting.

Well you don't get scanned or fingerprinted when you enter the UK, but I don't know what happens if you're American and you're re-entering the US after you've been abroad.

Certainly if you're not American you get fingerprinted though.
