Eh, 2 years between sequels is normal.

But barely two months after Endgame with an entire rest of the year to release relatively unimpeded? I'm sure they wanted a summer release because they think summer films sell better, but obviously that's not the case; a movie just has to be good and it'll draw a crowd at most any time of the year, especially an MCU film and it's freakin' Spider-Man.

After Venom making as much money it did as an October release, I wouldn't be surprised if they have considered moving it to some time in the fall. I think it just mostly comes down to Sony sticking to the May/July release tradition for the Spider-Man films.

Yeah exactly. If they want to take him out of the MCU they have the power to do that anyway. They’re not going to lose a bunch of money for no reason

A lot of what I've heard about this sequel is troubling..international travelling instead of ny, Mysterio whipping Spidey into shape, Elementals, etc.. I know there will probably be twists, but the initial concept is not enticing. Hope it turns out great, I love Spidey.

I think they did shoot in NY too besides Europe.

It sounds like the story is bookended by NYC segments, like the opening few minutes and the final big fight. The middle section is the Europe trip.

I'm glad we at least got our first official look at Mysterio, albeit in drawing form. The fan art of him with the fishbowl is apparently exactly how he looks in the film, so I can live without a trailer for now.

I don't think he neefs the gold chest piece and the thigh circlets and kneepads make it look a bit messy imo. Not horrible, just a bit clunky.
