Hasn't happened yet, and we've been getting 3 MCU films + DC + Fox and now + Sony movies.

I really think 4 movies would be pushing their luck on the fatigue front. I'm someone who only thinks there should be two films per year. I'm a big believer in less is more.

I NEVER click on any of her videos, but let me guess: She's still downplaying the success of the MCU.

:funny:.

So with were the movie is I think we are looking at 1 billion at worst and at best 1.2 billion. I am going to say it makes 1.1 billion. I am hoping for 400 USA and 700 OS. I Think after weekend 3 is over we will have a pretty good idea were the movie will end for 2 main reasons. 1 Lion king comes out so that will give us a better idea of the movies legs and how much lion king will hurt far from home. 2. From what I have heard China plays movies for a shorter time and is even more fornt loaded. So that means by the end of weekend 3 with China being like done + the combination of lion king being out that OS will most likely not have much left in the tank.

Grace's take is confusing. 'No one is talking about it'. The movie has made half a billion in 10 days. They may not be talking about it but they sure as heck are watching it.

I'm not watching her video. I tend to shy away from Youtubers who just post contradictory opinions to get hits, thus more ad revenue, thus they make money. The MCU works. Even when it doesn't work perfectly (Captain Marvel), it still makes a ton of money and breaks the mold (also Captain Marvel).

My daughter told me her friends at school don't really like Marvel movies. I told her very plainly, "Then who are all these people watching them?" She's getting ready to go into middle school...I hope she makes a better caliber of friend there.

Im pretty sure most of these YouTubers will get clicks and views nomatter what they say about a film.
This notion that they re hating on films to get views is unfounded imho.

Every now and then all of those reviewers post a controversial view or a completely dumb one.

Nothing new really.

It will be less though, not more. Now that they've taken over Fox, 4 films a year will be less than what the MCU pre-Fox was putting out along with old Fox combined. It's not even maintenance, 4 films a year is reducing output.

Shes a funny person

This has to be hands down on of her most ridiculous videos I have ever seen

her augment makes no sense ( it does make financial sense for her getting clicks for this silly video)

No one is talking about is yet its on track to be the biggest spider-man movie of all-time.
even her claim that that no one was talking about it is false since spider-man was trending on twitter for days when the movie first came out.

Plus in a year of under-performing sequels she is trying to claim that the one sequel audiences actually cared enough about to go see is some kind of disappointment lol

also look I love strangers things as much as the next person but the fact is neither she or anybody else really knows for sure how many people are actually watching that show. sure people may be talking about it but for all we know the show could be a ratings flop for Netflix

I cant tell you how people watched that show but I can tell you toy spider-man made 577M over the weekend . audiences decided to spoke with their wallets rather than with a twitter hashtag

to use old quote from Jay z "Men lie, women lie, numbers don't"

Monday estimate, per the-numbers.com:

Spider-Man: Far From Home Sony Pictures $10,915,000 -57% 4,634 $2,355 $195,978,062

I think that is good because hc had like a 58% drop. So 1% higher and i think you would expect its first monday drop to be a little higher than normal with last week being a 6 day weekend instead of 3 and with it having a holiday in there right?

She also said in this video that Shazam was a complete bomb which it wasnt.

Everybody has some stupid comments here and there no need to make a big deal out of it.

Even if the deal allows them to, they won’t. Any live action Spider-Man movie set outside of the MCU would technically be DOA in this day and age.

That being said, FFH IS making a billion so this is a moot point.

I think they'd be bold/stupid enough to do it, they still have Holland on contract for one more film. But yeah, this movie is making a billion. I have to laugh at Sony for making such a stipulation, it's not like they themselves have ever managed to hit this milestone.

Yeah, FFH making $1 billion is basically a lock. So we at least can count on 1 more MCU Spider-Man film. But this is an interesting read and does shed light on where we are in the process. This does however mean we will again be debating Spidey's long term future in a few years.

Actually, I think it is a good stipulation. The entire point of this deal from Sony's PoV was to raise the value of the Spider-Man IP. TASM series did serious damage to the property's value and BO earning potential. Sony basically wants to be sure people are responding to MCU Spider-Man, and in the world of business, that is communicated through $$$$$. So, this is only smart business by Sony. Plus, it gives Disney incentive to make the movies GOOD. Not to sabotage the property so it is worthless, and then bought back by Disney at clearance.
