You'll have to explain why you hate Ultimate MJ so much. Peter/MJ is the foundation of USM, IMO. I guess some folks see it differently...

I have never liked Ringo at all (hated when he was on sensational) but this has to be the worst.... Ringo drawing..... EVER.

I LIKE Ringo but this drawing is terrible. Look at HIS right hand (the one on the left). It looks like a dishwasher glove.

Because Peter Parker ends up with Mary Jane no matter what universe he's in. It's dumb. In the Ultimate Universe there were so many wonderful avenues to go down in that way. To me, there's still a lot to explore with the Kitty/Peter relationship. But, on a serious note, I'm going to let the Clone Saga play itself off before I make a rash decision.

I'm just tired of the "I love MJ no matter what" crap. Do something new for crying out loud.

Ironically I'm in a similiar boat..If Peter decided to stay with Kitty, I will likely drop the book. No more broken hearted MJ!!

And SIAT, it's not that she's MJ, it's because she has been written so well. Bendis started with MJ I'd guess because new readers ( the intended crowd ) would recognize her from the movies etc, so yes, her fame. And then he made her into someone you'd want to root for, and you'd like, so what if she's named MJ?
You are guilty of the same thing you say we are..judging her BECAUSE she is named MJ. So don't be the pot calling the kettle black.

See, now I disagree that there is more to show with Peter & Kitty. I'm not dead set on Peter & MJ ending up together, but I can say with absolute certainty that it won't - or shouldn't - be Kitty.

Peter/Gwen would be great, IMO. I'd love to see that, actually, depending on what happens with her. Still, Peter & MJ are the foundation of USM. It's not a personal opinion, it's the way it is. Bendis said as much in the Wizard 180 interview.

Now, my personal opinion is that Peter/Kitty is just filler material to disrupt Peter & MJ getting back together for a while. It just doesn't fit with USM's style - it's not serious enough - and couldn't be that serious without being really out of character for Peter.

I just realized that from the sounds of the solicitations, it doesn't seem like there is going to be a massive mind wipe eliminating the whole civil war mess.The solicit from SSM #35 says :
"The War has ended, but the fallout continues. As Spider-Man and his family get used to the new status quo...".

So it looks like the war is gonna have serious fallout afterwards, which means Pete's identity will still be public. Wow Marvel's actually going for it. Well let's see where this takes us...(holds breath)

In the last 3 years how often have Marvel said this about Spidey? I have lost count now. I really want to get back onto a Spidey title, but how can I when all when get is crap like this all the time?

Seriously, let it go Marvel. Just give us good stories, not 'earth shattering' crap.
