First of all, it will be the most grounded Spider-man game so far. The Duality between Spider-man and Peter Parker is a major factor in the game, like for example: Gwen Stacy, who is the love interest can give Peter inside information on police records because of his father, Harry Osborn, who has come back from abroad to support Norman now that he's running for mayor, can give details on what's going on with Oscorp Industries, and lastly, Eddie Brock, who grew up in a life of crime and wants to change, can give hidden details on crime bosses who run the districts in New York.

the villains he confirms are The Rose, Tomb Stone, Sin Eater and Mr Negative.

Heard about this like 5 days ago and now that we are in may the rumors I am sure the rumors are not going to stop has we normally get a lot of rumors about games from like may to E3.

Gwen love interest angle, not sure on that, but could be a fun. Brock angle, I LOVE it. Especially if they play with the Martin Li + FEAST + Anti-Venom path to redemption angle, it could make for an interesting supporting role for Brock.

I just want some news on this thing soon. June seems so far away hah.

It's only a month, haha. But I feel ya. Crazy to think this was announced 11 months ago, huh?

As far as Gwen goes: I dig it. It's unexpected. Fresh, even. Aside from TASM1, Gwen hasn't been in any other Spider-Man game. So I'm on board.

Still can't believe we don't at least have some new screenshots of the game. Remember when Insomniac told us they wouldn't be at PSX but told us that they have exciting news to share in 2017? Man, I didn't think they meant E3 2017.....Good job it's just a month away.

Gwen as a love interest could be very interesting if done right. I hope Peter Parker parts have a big focus. Part of being Spidey is having to juggle your hero persona + private life. The fondest memory I have of any Spidey game is the Spider-Man 2 movie game: early on you have to make it to a party with Harry & MJ (and your character goes "oh no I forgot about that").
Having relationship mechanics could get very interesting: Do I continue to jump around as Spidey kicking butt or do I go on cooldown and meet up with a friend for possible intel?

It would be interesting to see if they incorporate decision making into the game. Like having to choose whether to make your date with Gwen or stop a robbery--and have that affect later story.

Heh, true. I'm a dyed in the wool MJ fan, but between Spectacular and Emma Stone and Spider-Gwen, I'm willing to give her more of a chance. Also, it'll be fun to see how different this universe is. If this info is true, with this being an experienced Pete, does this mean Brock is reformed or is this is origin? I love Venom, but I'd actually be fine if he wasn't a boss in this game, but acted as a supporting character like the rumour says.

Oooh I agree, I'd LOVE to see a really nice balance of Pete and Spidey parts. It was fun to have Pete missions in SM2. With modern games that genre bend and all sorts of cleverness involved in design, having secret identity portions of a game could be fantastic!

Sign me up for that! It'd be cool to have a bit more depth in the gameplay than the just combat. Hopefully some investigating, photography, and civilian-mode stuff could really make this an iconic Spidey experience.

Yeah, although people are talking on twitter about it potentially being on a Marvel THWIP show the week before E3. Jason Latorre (the director of the show) has been teasing the game for a couple of weeks now.

Greg Miller of Kinda Funny games, said on his latest podcast that he will be heading to North Carolina for a secret project. Insomniac has a studio in North Carolina. Now he's tweeted this.

People on NeoGaf have said that it's odd that he'd go to North Carolina for Spider-man PS4 when Greg lives closer to their Burbank studio which is where Bryan Inithar (the creative director for Spider-man PS4) and Bill Rosemann are. Maybe Greg's just being a troll?

I don't think he's being a troll. I don't think this secret project has anything to do with Spider-Man PS4. Greg's a huge comic nerd--the gif and the second half of that tweet are just that: He's asking for reading recommendations. I don't think he's teasing Spider-Man nor do I think he's trolling. Think it's just coincidence.

I guarantee at this point we won't actually see anything until E3.

MAYBE we get a title and a picture or two the week leading up to it as a sort of "See more at E3" sort of thing, but that would be it.

Good news and I hope it will be like that in many aspects of the game. I'm not a fan of robot enemies. Many many Spider-Man games have those. Those aren't very interesting.
