Yeah in the game he just comes off really naive and annoying. Miles in the movie was youthful and inexperienced as well but I never felt like he did stupid things for the sake of stupidity.

I like Miles. I think he'll easily shed naivety in time for a second game. I do wonder how Insomniac are gonna tackle potential dual protagonists.

I understand how this can be perceived as annoying and I empathize with those that feel frustrated by this however this is not a case of Insomniac not listening. If they weren't listening we wouldn't have gotten certain in-game improvements while under development--see Slang's excellent post. And while certain suits may have been from fan input, others like the Raimi suit or other movie suits have licensing issues. But beyond all of that, the real caveat here is that Insomniac may not be saying anything because they CAN'T say anything. All it would take is an NDA from Marvel and Insomniac wouldn't be able to breathe a word about it. So, all those "well if they would have just come forward from the beginning and said this or that" is meaningless if their hands or in this case their lips are tied. Insomniac has been upfront about everything I believe they have been able to be upfront about. It just sucks that there is THIS much of an issue being presented over one friggin' suit. Now, I'm not all that crazy about the suit selection but it hardly does enough damage to the overall excellence of this game. Let's try and be thankful for this wonderful AAA Spidey game that 5-6 years ago was a mere wish.

Why assume there is an NDA when Insomniac have recently responded about the Raimi suit? A response that would have saved a lot of bother months ago.

I'd guess the most logical assumption regarding the DLC suits is that they were set and made when the game launched, so Insomniac were left high and dry adding "fan demanded" suits when fan demand didn't align with their lineup. I would bet the Raimi suit will appear at some point in this series, be it in a sequel or future DLC. I don't believe there's a licensing choke-hold, I think it was omitted because its popularity was under-estimated.

Cool, a six issue adaptation of the game's story. I like adaptations so I'll pick this up, it'll be interesting to see it translated as a comic story cause it was a great story. Don't know if I'll do singles or wait for the trade yet.

I have not seen Insomniac address the Raimi suit directly. Unless there's a tweet or other announcement that I'm not aware of.

Is the comic supposed to just reiterate the story in the game or is it a new story based on the continuity from the game?

If it's the former, I'm not really interested. Why buy the comic when you could probably just watch the cutscenes on youtube??

With the Silver Lining DLC release on the horizon, I've started to play through the other DLCs...

I've completed the Heist @ 100% and here's my thoughts:

Felicia was fantastic. She's the best side character yet in this game outside of a few of the villains. The banter between her and Peter was really good and although I might change up a few things I was pleased. I'm not a fan of Felicia playing Spidey as a fool...and hopefully with more time maybe in the next game we'll see their relationship develop into more as working together as a team. I loved the mission where they were taking on the goons thru stealth and combat--I only wish there was more of it. Black Cat needs to be a playable character imo.

MJ is losing ground with me. I did not enjoy her in this DLC story and yet another stealth mission with her...pretty lame. And it's sad cause I really love MJ as a character so to see her not get her due in this fantastic game, is disheartening.

I'm gonna be in the minority with this next one...I did not hate Screwball as much as I thought. In fact, I rather found her antics and challenges to be amusing. It was a nice break up from the rest of the gameplay and yes, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard however I get what Insomniac was going for--she's essentially a youtube troll. So I did find her annoying as she's meant to be but not at all the amount of hatred that is buzzing around the net. And the challenges themselves were not even that difficult. The drone challenges from Taskmaster were harder imo. With Screwball I got Spectacular or better on each one in my first playthrough. I ended up with one Ultimate on the gadget challenge--I really enjoyed that one the most.

Miles was basically nonexistent. His phone calls with Peter were kinda annoying. I've heard from quite a few people that have seen Into the Spiderverse that Miles character in that movie trumps the game's version. I can see how that is most likely the case. I did enjoy Miles in this game but for some reason his presence in the Heist took him down a peg. Not sure why.

Overall though this first DLC was decent. Felicia was obviously the high point for me and I look forward to seeing more of her and *fingers crossed* playing as her in the sequel.

Heist gets a 6.5/10

I think it's the same basic story from the game but still they said there's gonna be some different/new things added into it, whatever that part means. I'd obviously prefer if we got an all new mini series set in the game's world after the story/DLC, but I think that probably depends on if the adaptation sells well enough. I bet we'll get a comic prequel to the sequel this time around, though.

As someone who’s only gone about as far as voicing my slight disappointment that they didn’t include the Raimi suit on a message board a couple of times in the last few months, I am completely and beyond satisfied.

Thank you, Insomniac. I know the crazies road you hard from start to finish, but you did right by all the fans today when you didn’t have to. I feel like it’s 2004 again and I’m playing PS2 on my racecar bed, haha.
