Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

Im sure it was as I doubt they would be able to iron out the license to use this and design it in that short a time. Not impossible, but unlikely. It just comes across bad, like its rewarding awful behavior

Or it comes across as making the fans happy and listening to their requests.

Well, obviously only the one from TASM2... :oldrazz:

Reminds me of a tweet I just saw on Insomniac's page;

Now onto campaigning for the Garfield suits!
The TASM suits have been at the top of my list for suits I want since the beginning, I just sort of accepted we probably won't see them.
To me this game actually feels like where the Amazing Spider-Man series would've ended up had Sony not interfered so much. I also look at the advance suit as what The Amazing Spider-Man might have looked like by then.

If anything I think a lot of the people that were getting ridiculous about it probably feel like they were being a**holes now.

People were being a-holes. Insomniac was being totally quiet about the Raimi suit, because obviously they wanted it to be a surprise. But some people took it as their requests being ignored. So they threw temper tantrums.

I guess you could argue that Insomniac's silence on the matter could be seen as irritating. After all there was a similar major fan request for a movie suit in the Arkham games back in 2015, when everyone wanted Nolan's TDK Batman suit in Arkham Knight. Rocksteady just came out and said we've heard your requests and we're going to give it to you;

But the amount of anger, outrage, and drama that this Raimi suit issue caused was flat out ridiculous, and brought out the inner a-hole in a lot of people. It wasn't even like Insomniac told them they were never getting it.

I'm sure they do feel stupid, or vindicated, or whatever, but who really cares about them at this point.

Now it seems we've moved on to complaining about the complainers?

The only thing wrong with this post is that I can't hit the 'like' button more than once.

The fans, some of the fans, acted horribly. They were like a bunch of crying children. And as a parent myself one of the worst things you can do is give into a crying toddler. You have to stand your ground and not let them cry their way into getting something. That teaches the toddler well, "all I have to do is continue crying and I'll get what I want." I'm afraid this is how the fans, the a hole ones will perceive this.

Because even if Insomniac meant to give this suit all along, they obviously were keeping tight lipped about it for the surprise factor. Which imo makes all the whiny complainers look even worse. You all are lucky that I don't run Insomniac. Because I would release the Raimi suit in an update and also release this statement..."I was planning on giving this suit to you all as a surprise Xmas gift but since so many of you acted like a bunch of whiny pedantic little B!@ches, now you can have the Raimi suit for free. All you need to do to unlock it, is get Ultimate in ALL the Screwball challenges. Merry Christmas!"

Something to notice is they've avoided calling it the "Raimi suit" or mentioning the words "movie" in regards to it. They just refer to it as "THE suit" and the "Webbed one". The official name for it in the game is "Webbed suit"

It looks like some odd legal mumbo jumbo going on.

I get what you're saying. I haven't really followed all of this on Twitter or anything, but I have little doubt that some of the fans were crazy and annoying about this Raimi suit.

Still, a parent giving in to a "crying toddler" is not the same as a company giving in to something that their fans and paying customers -- many of whom have purchased deluxe editions of this game along with the various DLC drops and promoted the game for Insomniac all over Twitter -- were really hungry for. Whether it was always planned or not, and whether or not the fans were *******s, Insomniac ultimately did the right thing and this is a win/win for them.

I think most of us wanted the Raimi suit, even if we didn't ***** or moan about it endlessly.

Yes I just saw the rami suit was added didn't expect that at all! Now there are only about 3 suits I wish where in the game that we dont have but this one was the biggest one. Think you insomniac!

I agree with you and many fans were reasonable about it...I don't recall anyone on here being the annoying pedantic type.

That said, as a Spider-Man fan and a gamer, I don't like seeing people behaving like they did. It was enough to give notice. I don't allow my friends, children, family or coworkers to act in this manner. Customers paying for a product or not it's shameful behavior and imo it should be addressed.

I wish they didn’t cave

Why not even one was a baby about it even if they did fell disappointed in not getting it before today.

Merry early Christmas to us. We truly don’t deserve Insomniac. I can’t wait to get home and take that suit out for a spin.

But now that we have this, the complainers will start demanding the Black Suit from Spider-Man 3 and the TASM suits. :whatever:

I would love TASM2 suit but you cant always get everything you want.

Missed opportunity in not calling it the Raised Webbing suit :o

So with the rami suit and the 3 suits we get into tomorrows dlc we are up to 40 suits I think?

It is fun to web-swing around while listening the movie soundtrack. Also the song Hero. Good that PS4 has Spotify.

This is awesome. I was a little bummed when it seemed like it wasn't gonna be in the game. So this is a great surprise. Love ya Insomniac! Looks amazing. Didnt realise how good it would look. You've all done a great job.

Wow, they really did it.

People don't deserve Insomniac. They're too good for them.

THIS!
Yeah, I've seen plenty of kids who were just given things when they cried long enough. Heck, we're watching that generation taking over now. (darn whipper-snappers)

They should be thankful that it's not like in the Ultimate Spider-Man game back in the day. You could unlock the symbiote costume for Peter...if you completed everything in the game...thus negating your need for it. EVER. Because you couldn't go back through the story mode on the same game save.
