The story by itself is okay so far but i dont like Peter or MJ. Peter as Spiderman is just insufferable. The jokes arent funny and Yuri's (the voice actor) delivery doesnt land. Even still i have more beef with the gameplay and control feel. Feels rigid

I think Peter's voice actor does a pretty good job, but yeah, so far I don't really care about Mary Jane. She just seems, I don't know, bland. I'd definitely want to see more of Yuri Watanabe in this game and less of Mary Jane.

Played for 5 hours and my god this game is incredible!!! and i already collected all of the backpacks. Sooooo many easter eggs! This truly is the definitive Spider-Man experience

My copy has come with some art-cards and a mug. What little 'extra's' did people get with theirs, have you gone for the upgrade sets, the collectors set or the mutts nuts edition at all.

I have not seen MJ stuff, but Peter is a nice character in both sides.

I don't know how anyone can dislike Peter or Spidey in this game. Feels very much like the comic book character. I have not met MJ yet. I have spent a lot of my time so far exploring the city, doing those radio towers, collecting the back packs, and stopping random crimes. All to get xp and unlock more stuff.

The game is a ton of fun and the city is beautiful. The combat takes getting used to. I died a lot early on because I was in the Arkham games mind frame where I kept pressing triangle to dodge when I should have been pressing circle for this game lol.

The custom game suit is nice and all, but I have been sticking with the classic red and blues.

So far it reminds me more of Assaasin's Creed more than anything Arkham. The traversal, and then the Peter Parker stuff is kinda like Desmond whenever he hopped out of Animus.

The swinging isnt as intuitive to me. I keep wanting to hit L2 after R2. I havent quite gotten the hang of the web zipping and stuff. The combat feels a bit difficult as I keep dying so I guess I'll need to take more time to get the hang of things. The game looks gorgeous though

absolutely. i whent to bed at like 11 and woke up at 3:30 due to eye pain and i couldnt fall back to sleep, so its pretty safe to say that I feel exhausted haha, but oh man those 5 hours were amazing. and all of it was spent just going around the city!

So was talking to best buy CS after my preoder of the collectors edition got delayed last night that I ordered back in April and they said i should get some type of refund not sure how much also trying to see about pre order bounses has i have not gotten a email for that yet. After talkingn to CS for a while they said they just got a update that people should be able to get the game by september 11th and may come before that

Home from work and the updates are downloading as I write this! So excited!

So far the game is enjoyable, but the control feel isnt very natural, has a kind of clunky feel. Im in the very beginning and i dont have any upgrades yet

The main problem is that when you let go of a webline, there's too little forward momentum

In your opinion, is it a learning curve issue or are there flaws in the controls layout?

So I may not get the game because of BB messing up un till like Tuesday and if that happends will maybe not have time to play un till like next Friday has I will most likely be to busy with school/hw to play on Tuesday, wed and Thursday. You guys impressions are killing me right now.

Sounds like some swing speed upgrades might help.

I thought the swinging was plenty fast at the beginning of the game. It's a timing thing. We swing with R2, but need to Press X at the right time to get that forward momentum. I think I am now around level 26, got a few decent speed upgrades, and honestly, sometimes it feels too fast. I overshoot all my targets. Also another one of my nitpicks, while the game gives you the tools to traverse the city at ludicrous speeds, I think it's the more subtle elements that are not fine tuned enough.

For example, the wall running is pretty much perfect, but the wall crawling often suffers from the same wonky camera work as past Spider-Man games. So when I tried to be sneaky and take down some Fisk thugs on a roof undetected, it was almost a struggle to just slowly crawl along the building. Or when I sometimes just want to chill by slowly crawling up a building, instead of sprinting, I'll sometimes get stuck on a floor, because he's Spidey is not able to get over a bump. I'll crawl 3-4 floors without an issue and then get stuck on the 5th.
