Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

I am playing from around 10pm onwards tonight on my first go and the descriptions from you guys with in-play impressions, make me think I am going to struggle badly at this, if you guys are finding too hard/too hard in traversal and combat, I can see me, finding it incredibly hard, given I'm an absolute klutz when it comes to games.

I thought the swinging was plenty fast at the beginning of the game. It's a timing thing. We swing with R2, but need to Press X at the right time to get that forward momentum. I think I am now around level 26, got a few decent speed upgrades, and honestly, sometimes it feels too fast. I overshoot all my targets. Also another one of my nitpicks, while the game gives you the tools to traverse the city at ludicrous speeds, I think it's the more subtle elements that are not fine tuned enough.
Level 27 already?! I'm only level 7 haha. have you been doing the story?

I think 50% done? And now I am spending time in the combat challenges, because it's too damn fun. XD

wow hahaha. I spent 5 hours today just getting all the backpacks and such, and only played the story far enough to where you get the new suit. I cant decided which suit to stick with. the red and blue classic keeps calling to me haha

As far as the story goes, this game seems better not only in comparison to the previous Spidey games, but also to the movies! BRAVO!

Goddamn I freakin' love this game already lol!

Only played thru the first mission but what a blast! Now I'm learning the traversal and practicing the swing mechanics.

I totally understand the clunky feel that is described but honestly imo this is a learning curve issue. Swinging for the last 15 minutes and I'm already getting used to it and feel more comfortable. It's a rush and also very much a timing thing. I love it and I can only see myself getting better at it.

I almost died a few times during combat and like some others have described it's a bit weird at first. I think again it's a learning issue and partly cause I have games like Arkham in my head and in my finger/hand muscle memory. Most of the time I am pressing the wrong button at the wrong time or trying to press the right button but my timing is off. I feel very confident though that I'm gonna get the hang of this and end up loving it. The responsiveness feels amazing and it looks very polished. I can also see the depth here and how many cool and different ways you can approach combat in even the simplest of ideas or moves.

Back into the fray!

Even though I've been up since 3:30, i still have one more round of gaming in me that ill jump into in a few hours before i head to bed!

I cant belive you are already 50% into the game. I love hearing that about the combat challenges because that is one of the big reasons I love the Arkham games and can play them for like hours and hours.

How many web based gadgets are there? I wanna use everything web related, I've no interest in using
the concussive blast or drones.

I did not expect such complexity in controls when it comes to traversal and combat. Having a sizeable learning curve is a welcome change even you start the game sucking at it!

And damn the game is absolutely gorgeous and the story seems very good since the start. The gameplay is also pretty varied so far.

Playing it on Spectacular mode. It’s challenging and I like it. Beat Kingpin yesterday which is a good way to start a boss battle. Off at 8pm and I’m back to playing again.

Yeah, at first the swinging feels clunky and slow, but now that I've gotten the hang of it it's just so satisfying, you have pretty much complete control over every action you take and traversal is incredibly fast once you get used to it.

So my BB collectors edition just shipped about a hour ago I dont know how long it will take to get hear but I think Monday may be the soonest. Its already after noon so I dont see it getting to me today and for it to get hear by sat it would have to ship pretty fast and of course mail dont come out on sundays.

So I had no idea that ups didn't deliver on sat I though ups, usps and fedex delivered ever day but sunday this is knew news to me while that sucks considering I only got shipping confirmed about 2 hours and 12 minutes and now I found out that items cant be delivered on not only sunday but sat to that means un less some how it comes today and with it already being 3:38 that is unlikely than soonest I could get this would be Monday.

This game is addicting. I'm not too far into the story (Just got past the part where
you play as MJ
) but I've been going around doing side missions and fixing the signals to open up the map more. This is by far the best Spider-Man game I've played yet.

I love finding the bags everywhere. Gee it’s surprisingly hard though! But I haven’t played a Spider-Man game since ultimate

They don't drop things off on Saturday?

Same. Such a beautiful looking game and I am really digging the learning curve. The challenge makes me want to do things over and over to see how good I can get while trying to perfect each move. Finally we get the same level of challenge in a Spider-Man game that Arkham presented. Such a rewarding feeling when you start nailing the mechanics.
