This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]333295[/split]
Marc Webb hates Venom more than Raimi does,so i guess we won't see the symbiote/Venom in his movies.
Not if Sony has anything to say about it....I mean Raimi only made them two highly popular movies and they still forced Venom on him.
continued form the other thread-
i understand that you need levity. but you dont need it at the expense of making your villain a joke.
what happened in star wars when someone denegrated vader? fool got choked out. he was not to be messed with. and it became understood.
for me, that was the least of the issues i had the first movie's wrinting. the forced metaphors were a bigger issue in my book.
"hi aunt may, you're moving?"
"everyone needs a hero peter."
WTF??

Star Wars isnt a light hearted movie
Spider-man is
and i dont know which Spider-man you are familiar with but the guy in the comics always denegrated his foes....you know the quipping he does

sure, star wars is very emotionally heavy
and what happens when he quips? he does it with guys who dont matter, or he does it until the villain shows he is a threat to him (aka ass whoopin). theres a reason spiderman is always talking about his broken ribs, busted nose, grabbing his side, has rips in his costume.
Agreed. I mean, I love Venom, but I really don't think he should be in any of these films.
Good Riddance.
dont take this the wrong way...but im not gonna continue this conversation. Lets just agree to disagree
I can live with that.
I think I'd rather have them try somehow to bring the Sinister Six into this.
