World Spider-man: Web of Shadows Game

I loved WoS and I think Symbiotes are awesome, but for the next game, I think we should have the game have a story that involves the Green Goblin or something.

well, if the next game is a sequel, which I hope it is...
ain't Venom dead?

YEP he committed suicide for the red choice and peter killed him the same way venom committed suicide using the black suit

How would they have the game accommodate all 3-4 endings? Having you select what ending you got in the first one?

I just spent hours creating a storyboard and I hit a wall right now. My ideas progress in the story either too fast, or too slow. I can't seem to make something without having all plot holes filled. Anybody can helpe me?

So far, it starts off with Spider-Man swinging onto the top of the George Washington bridge to recall of past memories. Some lines here and there, and he sees the police cars driving quickly so he immediately says farewell and goes to stop the chase. (foreshadow to what the game will be like)

So then you start playing, and you are introduced to the game controls, R2 to swing, hold X to swing faster etc. Once you got it down and finally catch up to the car, something else happens, you see electricity from the area it's coming from. You are then introduced to the first fight with Electro, moderately easy since I'd also like to have environments be a part of gameplay. Then that's how the introduction ends.

So now like in Spider-Man 2, you're given destinations for the next event, or you can also talk to people for crime they've seen as well as swing by for petty crimes. Sidemissions and cross-overs should be included, but that should be talked about after the main things have been discussed. I don't particularly like going to the same hero over and over for the next thing you have to do, it's way too simple.

After you've done enough missions and accumulated enough skill to proceed to the next mission, you head over to the event and then you watch a cutscenes. I feel that in WoS, the cutscenes were too weak for the overall gameplay and I wish they added more. Anyways, for this next mission, you encounter a bunch of men tied up in the Spider-Man costume hung over a tree arched over to look like the bridge with a message saying..."I'm back." And from there, I'm lost.

Hm...how about you start looking around in places to find out where Goblin is?

You should handle navigation and missions in the way that they're handled in the comics. Story missions should appear on the map in whatever way it effects New York. So your first level started with Spider-Man being alerted by speeding and flashing cop cars. If the next level has Green Goblin then maybe while you're free roaming around, time stops and the camera floats above the buildings to show an explosion across town. You could then go to the next story mission and fight GG or ignore it and continue free roaming.

If you ignore it, the game will wait until you're ready and act as if you immediately responded. So you don't get punished for doing whatever you felt like..

Alright, that sounds good guys. I guess I wasn't thinking and completely forgot that Green Goblin is found in the high elevation since after all he's on a glider. I'll fix this and show you what I got later.

I was playing Tenchu 2 today, and when i watched the credits after beating the game, I found out that the voice of Rikimaru was Rino Romano.

I watched a rerun of The Batman that plays on my friends TV loop, and I just noticed....that's Rino Romano's voice!

Makes me really wish now that he played the Spidey in WoS.
Actually, the guy who does the voice of Batman in The Batman did the voice of Spidey in Spider-Man The Animated Series.

No. Christopher Daniel Barnes did the voice of Spidey in SMTAS, Rino Romano did the voice in SM Unlimited and both of the PS1 games.

I personally say screw a full length story. I feel as if they should break the norm for the next comic based game.

I think the best route to go would be to have "comic missions" within a free roam world. Maybe use ASM 500 as a template. Ever since I read that story and played SM2 I felt it would be a perfect idea for a game.

Have Spidey get mixed up in some kinda mystical time mumbo jumbo.
That sends him to different time periods within his life.

This way it is impossible to run into a problem where you can't fit in certain bosses that people want to see. Most of the story will not have to fit together seamlessly. Plus you can get variety with different powers and costumes.

This idea will probably never see the light of day.

But if I had another idea it would be to emmerse Players more into a GTA like world with Spidey. Using his supporting cast, secret identity, and money more appropriately.

If they took SM2 and build upon it like that. It would see like crazy. That idea has a chance. But its safe to bet they wouldn't do it any justice anyways....:csad:

Your thinking of Spider-man Unlimited and the PSX games.
He was soooo perfect for the role. I'm not sure I would have loved unlimited as much as I did if it were played by someone else.

I'm really pissed off at Activision because today, they gave me a call saying that they cannot meet with me because of their hectic schedule, and if I want to, I can send them my ideas through e-mail. And when I did email my idea I got a response saying that Activision does not accept any fan ideas, artwork etc......So I'm not sure what to do, I mean, I know I don't have much worked on but I was willing to finish it but now i have no resolve.

Spidey0: I'm gonna talk to one of the admin for SeizeControl, gimmie a second and I'll give you an answer on how you can get this info out to people.

Honestly, Activision isn't reading SeizeControl.com anymore (or atleast their customer support isn't).

EDIT: Viet's not on. :| Gonna try Admin.

Ok, Admin says he doesn't have that kind of pull and you actually should be speaking with the developers themselves and not Activision.

I would say talk to Shaba Games, Treyarch, ANY developers that Activision usually works with (including Ravensoft, Vicarious Visions, and Next Level Games). We don't know who the next developers will be on the next Spider-Man game (which will happen most likely).

I don't know if you can actually talk in person with each of these companies (and I certainly can't do it), but I can help make phone calls and e-mails or something. Just lemme know.
